Chrissy is willing to admit that when Steve doesn’t call her after his date, she panics. If her mom wasn’t such a light sleeper, she would’ve snuck out to check up on him. But instead, she wallows, dozing on the couch, not even able to call Jeff to bitch because what if Steve chooses that moment to call?
So, she can admit, when he finally calls a few minutes after seven in the morning, she’s a little short with him.
“Finally, Steven,” she hisses into the phone, keeping her voice quiet so as not to alert her mother to their conversation. “I thought you were dead in a ditch somewhere!”
“Sorry, sorry!” he rushes out, sounding contrite. “We sort of fell asleep.”
Chrissy gasps, a smile slowly spreading on her face as the implications set in. “You guys slept together?” she demands gleefully.
“We didn’t have sex!” he shouts, and she’s glad, for the first time, that his parents are so absent from his everyday life. “We just fell asleep!”
She’s still smiling, twirling the phone cord round and round her fingers. “Does that mean it went well?” she wheedles.
She doesn’t think that Eddie would suddenly realize he’s straight and renege on the date, not really, but Steve had, and she can’t get the terrified tone of his voice out of her head.
“Well—” he drawls, leaving her on tenterhooks for a few seconds more. “He took me to see some shitty horror movie.”
“Oh my god,” she whispers, full-on grinning now. “What a stereotypical move.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought,” he replies so wryly that she can almost see the way his eyes must be rolling. “Except he barely talked to me the whole time and didn’t even try to hold my hand.”
“No!”
“And then he took me into the woods like some sort of serial killer, and then tried to kiss me so abruptly that my lip split a little.”
“No!” she shrieks with laughter before catching herself and slapping a palm over her own mouth as Steve’s own amused chuckle filters through the phone line. “And you still spent the night?”
“He was nervous!” Steve defended. “And besides, the second kiss was much better.”
“Your boy’s a fast learner, huh?”
Steve hums, and she wishes he was here with her, so she could see the dopey grin that must be on his face as he says, “yeah,” with a dreamy sigh. “He took me stargazing.”
Chrissy coos, can’t help it, not when this whole thing’s been building for so long now. Not when there’s been an edge of fear to everything Steve’s said for months. He deserves something nice for once.
“And you’re going out again?”
“Oh, definitely,” he replies, and a knot of fear she’s had tucked beneath her sternum loosens.
He sounds excited, happy, hopeful. If Eddie does anything to jeopardize this, Chrissy will be digging a very deep hole and tossing him into it. She’s got a shovel, and the muscle strength built up from years of cheer—she’ll manage just fine.
So, when Eddie walks up to her in the cafeteria in some sort of fucked up parallel to that first time and bends at the waist in a showy bow, hand outstretched as he asks, “a word, madam?” she’s ready to kill him.
But, when she glances at Steve at her side, his ears are red, and he’s smiling up at Eddie from beneath his lashes. And when she looks back toward Eddie she catches the tail-end of a wink that has Steve sputtering.
Even Jason doesn’t protest from the other side of the table where he’s quietly seething.
So, she takes his hand and follows him out of the cafeteria.
Eddie doesn’t seem to know where he’s going, as he walks through the halls, peering into nooks and crannies until he finds a corner he deems suitably vacant enough. He flops down, legs outstretched in front of him, uncaring of the dirt caking the floor.
He pats the spot next to him, smiling up at her, so she slides down the wall and crouches beside him, unwilling to let her bare legs touch the floor.
Eddie leans away from the wall and wrestles his jacket off before placing it on the floor in front of Chrissy. Gratefully, she sits atop it, crossing her legs to keep them safe. She turns her body so she’s facing Eddie dead on, and he follows her lead.
When he doesn’t say anything, she breaks the silence with a quiet, “I hope you know that if you hurt my friend, I’ll kill you.”
“I have no doubt, Lady Cunningham,” Eddie replies, drawing an X across his heart with his finger. “But, I’m not here to talk about Steve.”
“Then—what?”
He’s grimacing now, no longer meeting her eyes as he fiddles with his rings, one of his fingers bizarrely missing its usual adornment. “We’re friends, right?” he asks hesitantly, like he’s choosing each word with deliberate care.
“Of course,” she replies, eyes trained on the little furrow between his brows. He’s picking at a hole in the knee of his jeans, further fraying the edges. “Why would you ask that?”
He sighs, slumping into himself in a way that makes him look small. “I’m glad I’m here, okay?” he asks, not waiting for her to answer before he continues. “Steve’s great, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. But, you still lied to me—"
"We never lied to you," she cuts in, and he waves his hand in assent.
"Yeah, yeah, but you all like, conspired behind my back, and that feels…”
“Shitty,” she continues for him when he seems to lose his words.
“Yeah! Shitty, it feels shitty that you were all talking about me behind my back all so you could keep this from me."
Chrissy sighs. She’d known they’d have to talk about it eventually–clear all this stale air so they could move on–but it doesn’t make it any less uncomfortable. But, he’s right; no matter their intentions, they’d all made a mess of things. She’d known that even as she’d been in the thick of it.
So, she starts where these things should always start, and looks him dead in the eye as she says, “I’m sorry.”
He finally looks up, seeming almost surprised. “Just like that?”
“Yes, Eddie, just like that,” she replies, maintaining eye contact even as her gut squirms. “We were just trying to protect each other, but that doesn’t mean it was the right choice.”
His eyes are wide, still shocked, and she wonders, something uncomfortably close to pity bubbling up within her, if he’s not used to receiving apologies at all.
“Both of you?” he asks.
Chrissy averts her gaze, mouth twisting up. “You know how Steve said Jason has been kind of stalkery?” she asks, watching Eddie nod out of the corner of her eye before she continues. “Well, it was worse before. He kept coming to my house and cornering me at school, and I just wanted to move on.”
It was more than that, though. She still remembers the way fear crept down her spine as cold sweat when she’d opened her door to Jason smiling at her like they’d never broken up, the way her throat had closed up when he’d scooted far too close to her side at the lunch table.
The way he kept cornering her in the hallway when no one was around to witness it.
“So, when I found Steve trying to write that first letter, I struck a deal,” she continues. She feels bad about that, even now, even still. “He’d be my boyfriend, and I’d help him with the letters.”
She finally turns back to Eddie, braced for, what? Condemnation? But he’s squinting at her like she’s a puzzle he’s trying to crack as he says, “you totally would have helped him anyway,” with so much conviction that it warms her.
“Oh, definitely.”
He’s still looking at her, but he’s smiling at her, eyes warmer than she’s ever seen them.
“Alright, I forgive you,” Eddie says, like it’s easy.
It’s too easy.
“Just because we had reasons doesn’t mean it was fair to you,” she replies, steel in her voice as she squares her shoulders and looks at him dead on. “It doesn’t mean you weren’t hurt,” she finishes, reaching out to pat his knee.
He doesn’t jerk away, just looks at her hand on his knee with a peculiar smile on his face. “You know there was a time when you touching me like that would’ve sent me into a tizzy,” he says, still looking down at her hand.
“And now?”
“Nothing,” he replies, shrugging. “It was never you, Chrissy Cunnigham.”
“You either, Eddie Munson,” she replies, matching his smile as she smacks his hand once before withdrawing. “Now is that it, or was there something else you needed?”
He looks away, cheeks darkening to a blotchy red, she’s almost worried he’ll faint. “I, uh, well, the jacket?”
She thinks of Eddie’s jacket beneath her first, but that’s not where he’s looking. His eyes are planted firmly on the sleeve of Steve’s letterman with a sort of longing that’s almost funny in its intensity.
She doesn’t ask any follow up questions—if he wants the jacket, he can have the jacket. After all, it’s Steve’s no matter how attached to it she’s become, and Steve had looked up at him with the sappiest look she’s ever seen on his face.
She’d do more than give up his letterman to keep him happy.
Still, it feels strange when she pulls it off her back. A shiver runs through her–she feels almost naked without its familiar weight.
Since that first day in the library, it’s been her shield against Jason’s pushy advances, and her reminder that, no matter what happens, she’d still have Steve.
But, Jason’s backed off, and everywhere she turns, she sees her people: Steve, yes, but Jeff, and Eddie, and the Hellfire boys–even Robin. Her life’s full to bursting in a way that it’s never been before.
Chrissy will miss it, but she doesn’t need it anymore. Besides, she knows where Steve keeps his spare key, and she’s not above stealing something else from his closet.
“Jeff’s going to be sad,” she says, patting the bundled fabric in her arms like it’s a favored family pet, feeling strangely choked up. “He really liked it.”
Eddie grimaces down at it and asks, “do I need to get this thing dry cleaned?”
Chrissy throws her head back and laughs. “No, but if you would’ve waited a few more days, you might have.”
He makes a gagging noise, but when she holds it out for him, he readily takes it, even if he doesn’t put it on. She wonders if it’s fear of homophobes or the thought of her and Jeff’s bodily fluids that stops him. She’s polite enough not to ask, even as Eddie says, “Wait, is it you wearing it or him that Jeff likes?”
She opens her mouth to reply, ready to offer up a vague “both,” but Eddie holds up his hand and cuts her off, talking quickly like he’s afraid of what she might say. “Wait, don’t tell me. I really, really don’t need to know.”
Chrissy springs to her feet and picks Eddie’s own leather jacket up off the floor and sliding it on. It’s even baggier than Steve’s was on her, clearly designed for layering. “I’m borrowing this,” she says, turning her back on him and making her way toward her next class just as the warning bell rings. “It’s cold today.”
“Don’t do any weird sex things with it!” Eddie calls.
She laughs again, making a point to neither confirm nor deny her intentions no matter what he yells after her retreating back.
When Jeff slides into her passenger seat after school, he quirks a brow at her new look, and asks, “that Eddie’s?” as he buckles his seatbelt.
“He wanted Steve’s,” she says, reaching out to pat his knee consolingly.
“I’m going to miss that jacket,” Jeff sighs, looking genuinely forlorn for a second before he gets a particular gleam in his eye that Chrissy’s becoming increasingly familiar with. “You know—”
“Eddie requested that we don’t ‘do any weird sex things’ with his jacket,” she cuts in, putting her car in reverse and slowly backing out of the spot.
Jeff groans like he’d been shot, and throws his head back into the headrest. She reaches out to dig her fingernails into his knee, just this side of too-hard so his groan shifts into a hiss.
“I know, baby,” she says, smiling sweetly at him as they pull away from the school. “But, I’ll get your mind off it in no time.”
Jeff gulps, and doesn’t utter another complaint for the rest of the night.

Robin watches Chrissy follow Eddie out of the cafeteria. Even after the door closes behind them, she keeps staring, wanting desperately to know what they’re talking about. This might have all started because of her crush on Chrissy, but Robin’s nosy at heart, so even as the flames of her crush burn down to embers, she wants to know.
Steve had called her on Saturday, spilling all the details of what sounded like a truly horrible date as if it was some sort of fairy tale while Robin cackled in his ear. But he’d sounded buoyant with exhilaration, and all Robin had been able to think about was that he’s like her and he’s happy.
Maybe there’s hope for her, too.
Robin’s broken out of her reverie by a shoulder bumping into hers. “Should we help him?” Vickie whispers, and it takes Robin a minute to snap her eyes away from her vibrant green eyes to follow her gaze over to Steve.
All the losers he’s still pretending to be friends are jeering at him, Tommy H. going so far as to slip into Chrissy’s vacant seat so he can jostle Steve around with a decidedly unfriendly look on his face while Steve picks halfheartedly at his lunch.
Robin’s out of her seat before she can even think about it, palms slapping noisily on the table as she calls. “Harrington!” Steve perks up, metaphorical tail wagging as he meets her eyes from across the room. “Come help me win a bet!”
He’s up and out of his seat in a matter of seconds, leaving the remains of his lunch abandoned on his table as he trots over, slipping into the empty seat across from her while all the other band kids look at him like he’s got the plague.
“What’s the bet?” he asks, looking far more relaxed already than he had while surrounded by his supposed friends.
Robin kicks him under the table as she replies, “the bet was whether you’d come when you’re called.”
“Oh, hardy har har,” he mocks, kicking her right back until she links both her feet around his ankle and yanks him so he damn near falls off his seat.
“Poor little puppy,” she coos, reaching across the table to pat his head while he bats her hand away.
Vickie’s laughing from beside her; it rings through Robin’s ears like church bells. She gets stuck, staring at the pink of her cheeks, the red of her hair, the mirth in her emerald green eyes, hand still outstretched toward Steve’s hair.
He kicks her again, and she snatches her hand back, grateful for the intervention until she catches sight of the knowing look Steve’s shooting her. In retaliation, she grabs one of her carrot sticks and tries to shove it down his throat.
“Not a word, Harrington, or we’re through,” she hisses, finally succeeding in shoving the carrot into his mouth.
“You guys are so funny,” Vickie says, still laughing.
Steve smiles, carrot sticking out of his mouth like it’s a cigar until he bites into it with a snap, seeming oddly satisfied.
Chrissy and Eddie don’t come back, and by the time lunch is over, the rest of the band kids have finally stopped sitting there like scared lemmings, waiting for King Steve Harrington to attack. She’s sure they’ll soon learn what Robin already knows: the king is dead, long live the king.
She loves him so much, it’s almost stupid.
“So, Steve Harrington, huh?” Vickie asks, inexplicably walking out of the cafeteria with her even though Robin knows for a fact her class is on the opposite side of the school.
“I mean, yeah?” Robin replies, feeling her face heat from the inside out. “He’s just like, not what I was thinking at all, and maybe the best friend I’ve ever had, which is crazy—it’s crazy, because it’s Steve Harrington, right?” Her hands, she realizes with horror, are miming an explosion above her head while her mouth makes a weird, crackling explosion sound. “Who would’ve guessed?”
When she finally gets her mouth flapping under control, Vickie’s smiling at her, walking close enough that the sleeve of her sweater brushes against Robin’s bare arm.
“I don’t know, I always thought he seemed nice.”
Robin’s nodding along like one of those bobble head hula girls that boys are always putting in their cars, even though Steve Harrington isn’t nice. He’s an unmitigated bitch with a sacrificial streak a mile wide, but he’s not nice.
“He’s like a stray that I let into my house one time, and then my mom fed him, so now he keeps following me home,” her mouth says.
Vickie’s mouth laughs in return, so maybe it’s not all that bad.
Robin’s mind replays the angelic sound as she walks into her class, waving goodbye to Vickie as the other girl rushes away in a mad dash to make it on time to her next class.
God, Steve’s going to be such a bitch about this.

After Eddie’s talk with Chrissy, things shift.
Steve doesn’t sit with the jocks at all anymore. He and Chrissy, still joined at the hip like they really are dating, shift back and forth between the band geeks and the hellfire tables at lunch on Tuesday, prompting hushed whispers to filter through the entire cafeteria.
For his part, all Gareth says is, “does this mean you two’s weird feud over Chrissy is finally over?”
Jeff snorts chocolate milk out of his nose while Eddie laughs so hard he nearly falls off the bench entirely, only staying upright because Steve props him up.
“What?” Gareth demands, tearing into his chicken strips with a viciousness that betrays his ire.
“They’ll tell you when you’re older,” Doug replies despite having no idea himself.
Eddie loves his friends so fucking much.
By Wednesday, a clearly fed up Robin frog-marches the pair of them to the Hellfire table and plops down beside them.
“Munson, I can’t do this split custody thing anymore,” she says, making the red-head that’d followed her over giggle. “They’re too much of a handful.”
“Or maybe even two handfuls,” Steve replies, across the table at her like he’s not playing the most overt game of footsie right below it.
“Don’t be gross, dingus,” she scoffs, and Eddie’s mind goes galloping off with thoughts he shouldn’t be having in a room full of teenagers just waiting to push someone a few more rungs down the ladder.
“Are you guys coming back to Hellfire?” Gareth asks, clearly unable to stand not knowing what’s going on a second longer.
Steve looks at Eddie, brown eyes devastating beneath his lashes. “I’d like to.”
Eddie opens his mouth, ready to grovel at Steve’s feet to get him to come, to get him to keep looking at him like that, but then Robin cuts in with a sly, “you know this means you’ll have to come to Steve’s basketball games,” and he slams his mouth shut.
Steve grins, all seduction dropping off his face as he reaches across the table to give Robin a high five like they’re already on the fucking court. She slaps his palm hard enough that the sound of skin on skin damn-near shatters the sound barrier.
“We can sit together,” Jeff says, but he’s not even looking at Eddie, eyes trained on Chrissy’s blushing face. “It’ll be fun.”
Eddie groans and lets gravity overtake him, dropping his head to the table so suddenly that it would have hurt if Steve hadn’t put his palm over the spot just in time. Eddie turns his face so he can glare up at the other boy, but Steve looks so hopeful and excited that he has to look away again, burying his face into Steve’s palm.
“Fine, I’ll go,” he drawls, lips brushing against Steve’s hand with each word.
“What the hell is happening?” Gareth demands.
Much to his dismay, no one replies.
Things slide back to normal after that—Chrissy and Steve showing up to band practice and hellfire and lunch like nothing had ever come between them. But, it’s better now because Steve knocks their feet together beneath tables, and lets his hands settle on knees and stares just a little too long at Eddie’s lips.
It’s driving him crazy; he wants to reach out and touch, reach out and take.
But that’s not something that’s allowed. Boys are born in their own, invisible bubbles to keep them from touching other boys. Eddie doesn’t know how he never noticed it before, but he wants to shatter it like glass, let it cut up his feet if it means he can brush his lips against Steve’s.
There are all these rules left unwritten, but flung at their feet like slurs: don’t stand too close, don’t look too long, don’t dare to touch.
He wants to, though, thinks maybe in the confines of Gareth’s garage and behind the closed doors of the drama room he could, and it would be safe.
But they live in Hawkins, Indiana, and he’d like to live long enough to get the hell out of here.
So he lets their feet tangle beneath tables and doesn’t lean across them to have a taste, no matter how often Steve licks his lips.
Friday can’t come soon enough.
***
Robin’s been twitchy for days by the time she pulls Steve into their bathroom stall. He follows her dutifully, only laughing a little as she pulls a towel out of her backpack and lays it down before sitting on the floor.
“You plan this, Birdie?” he asks, settling across from her, the towel beneath them insulating him from the cold that’s seeping up from the floor.
Robin’s face turns a blotchy red like a blood vessel burst and dispersed beneath her skin. “Boobies,” she blurts, staring at him with beseeching eyes before she slaps her hand over her mouth, eyes wide.
Steve nods, his attempt at sage wisdom undercut by the way he has to bite his lip to stop from laughing at her. “Boobies, yes,” he chokes out. “I’ve, uh, heard of them.”
That’s all it takes for Robin to kick out at him. When her foot gets dangerously close to his crotch, Steve grabs her ankle and cradles her foot in his lap, rubbing the bone.
“Don’t make fun of me!” she whines, still trying to kick him.
“Okay, okay!” he cries out, chuckling as he holds onto her leg for dear life. “Sorry, just—what’s this about boobies?”
“Stop saying boobies!”
Steve uses his free hand to lock up his mouth and toss the invisible key into the toilet, smiling as the blush on Robin’s cheeks creeps up her nose and onto her forehead until she resembles an especially square tomato.
“Vickie—”
And Steve can’t help it, he really, really can’t. “Has nice boobies?” he cuts in, already grabbing at both her legs to stop her jackrabbiting feet from finally landing a blow to his balls.
“I hate you!” Robin shrieks, but even she’s laughing now as she writhes atop the towel, scrunching it as she earth-worm-inches closer to him so she can slap at his ribs while he’s defenseless. “Steve Harrington, you’re the worst thing that ever happened to me!”
She tries to say it with conviction, but Steve’s hands have crept beneath her crew socks, and his fingers are tickling against the inside arch of her foot, so her words come out more as shaky exhalations of laughter. He wiggles his fingers as she squirms away, kicking out with such reckless abandon that one of her feet breaks free and kicks him far too high on his inner thigh for comfort.
“Get your boy cooties off me!” she demands, and he does, pulling his hands out of her socks as she backs away until she’s leaning against the opposite side of the wall again, pouting at him. “You’re the worst.”
“Yeah, yeah,” he replies, feeling lighter than air. “Now tell me about Vickie’s girl cooties.”
Robin smiles bashfully, pulling her knees up to her chest and hugging them. “Vickie doesn’t have cooties,” Robin replies, gaze distant. She looks wistful, enamored, hopeful. “She walked me to class the other day, even though I know it made her late.”
“Yeah?” Steve prompts, helpless to do anything but to smile back.
“Yeah,” she replies. “And maybe it’ll be like Chrissy again, you know? But you and Eddie…” Robin kicks out at him again, nudging her foot into his and then leaving it there, their soles pressed together. “Maybe there’s more of us out there than I thought.”
“Yeah,” Steve breathes, absolutely in love with brave, hopeful, honest Robin, here in this stall, in this moment. “Maybe there are.”
They smile at each other, two queer kids in the bathroom together, seeing themselves in each other, again, and again, and again. Steve hopes they’ll always be like this, here, on the bathroom floor, finding hope in each other’s smiles. He has Chrissy, and Jeff, and Eddie now, too. But, Robin will always be the first person who looked at him and made him feel seen.
“We should get married,” he says, not thinking about it before it comes out of his mouth and hangs in the air between them, making Robin’s eyes bug out of her skull. “Just think about it! Eddie and I can’t get married, and neither can you and Vickie—”
“You’ve literally gone out with the guy once, and we don’t even know if Vickie likes girls yet—”
“—but we could totally just marry each other instead!”
The silence of the bathroom rings once Steve’s declaration is out there. Robin swallows, throat bobbing, eyes wide enough that Steve can see the little red veins near the back. Suddenly, Steve wonders if he’s stepped over some line he didn’t even know was there.
Before he can spiral too far, Robin launches herself across the space between them, knees bracketing Steve’s hips as she leans over and bites his shoulder, hard.
“Ow, Robin!”
“You’re insane, Dingus, you know that?” she asks, moving away from his shoulder to plant a kind of wet kiss against his forehead. “I’m sixteen, and you’re proposing in the boy’s bathroom.”
She rubs her hand against his head, likely fucking his hair up beyond repair, but he doesn’t even care because she kisses him again, this time on the top of his head.
“I meant like, later?” Steve says shyly.
He’s always fallen hard and fast, knows that about himself. It’s a fundamental law of the universe: gravity makes things fall down, the earth’s always spinning on an axis, and Steve Harrington puts his whole heart into people who don’t always give it back.
But Robin’s on his lap, kissing his head, and leaking what’s either snot or tears into his hair. “Alright,” she warbles, sounding embarrassingly soggy. “When I get a girlfriend, we can just be permanent beards for each other.”
Steve puts his arms around her and hugs her tight, mashing his face awkwardly into her neck as she laughs. “Grow old in separate bedrooms,” he replies.
“Gotta keep our cooties separate,” she says, like she’s not currently dripping on him on the floor of the boy’s grimy bathroom.
He just squeezes her tighter and gives her a little shake, like a dog with its favorite toy. “Tell me about Vickie,” he demands, but it sounds a whole lot like I love you when it comes from his mouth.
“Okay,” she replies, and it sounds a lot like I love you, too.

Rome was becoming nothing more than a painful cage for General Acacius. From the very first day he had to wear the white armor of victory, he felt like a slave with no other choices than to watch how everything he had known changed for the worse. He despised himself for not being able to protect his own daughter from the eyes of the Emperors, that were now set on her. He should've never taken her with him, he should've sticked with his principles. But then again, what choice did he even have, when he faced an order by the most powerful men in the world.
There was no chance to defy them openly, speaking up now would bring danger to his whole family as they would have to face the consequences of Marcus Acacius' actions. He wasn't so delusional and naive to think that the anger of the Emperors would only befall him alone, no, they weren't like that. So when the day came and a senator stepped forward to the General, he hesitated. Geta and Caracalla were beloved by the people as they gave them victories, bread and games - as long as the plebs had that, no one gave a damn about who sat on top. For them it was all the same, but the senate was different.
After the death of Emperor Commodus, the senate reestablished the Roman Republic, but wasn't able to secure their power. Many cities and regions took their chance to rebel against Rome as most of the generals refused to serve the new order - that included Marcus Acacius as well, who quickly sided with his old friend and brother-in-arms Septimius Severus, the father of the now ruling Emperors Geta and Caracalla. They took their legions and marched on Rome, where Severus took the power from the senate again only one year after the rebirth of the Republic. Acacius did believe in Severus, he did believe in the vision his friend had for Rome as well as his strength and wisdom as Emperor. Nearly two decades he was not disappointed while he served his old friend as a close advisor and his first general.
The senate got reduced to nothing more than a theater stage, with no real power or influence. And Acacius was sure that they would forever hate him for the service he did to Severus. Yet men like Gracchus must've sensed that the general was getting more and more delusional given the current reign of the twins. So the politicians approached him carefully and together they formed an alliance in the shadows. Their plan: Overthrowing the two Emperors and install the Republic again. Acacius stood never on the side of the senate... but nothing was as terrible as Geta's and Caracalla's tyranny. And if that is a way to protect his daughter and his family from them, he happily claimed himself a Roman Republican now.
Coming from one of his nightly visits at senator Gracchus' home, Acacius noticed that there was someone still sitting in the inner garden of his Roman city residence. He took off his cloak and approached you slowly as you watched the turtles in the small pond between the plants and flowers, while the water of a small fountain rippled in the silence. "Your mother told me, that you were sitting here the whole day", he said with a low tone, careful not to scare you with his sudden appearence, before he took a seat right next to you on the stone bench. When he watched your face, he saw all the thoughts that were probably going through your head after the situation in the Collosseum yesterday. For a long moment, the two of you simply sat in silence, while one of the turtles walked along a mosaic before it fell into the water.
"I am not a child anymore, i don't want you or mother to protect me any longer", you suddenly whispered, before your head turned to your father. In your eyes he saw how you struggled to maintain your neutrality as you faced the danger that may come over you, if you'd accept this new attention further. "And yet i don't know how to deal with... them? I suppose i cannot refuse any of this?" Your question carried a sense of pain, because you already knew the answer and it was equally as hard for your father to shake his head in response.
"I thought so...", you mumbled and leaned forward give one of the turtles a leaf of salad you had snached from the dinner table earlier. Acacius had seen many battles and many terrible things, but nothing was harder than to see you like this. And nothing was harder than to feel helpless. All he could do was laying his hand softly and reassuring on your shoulder.
„You’re my daughter, y/n. And you’re right, even if I want it to, I can not protect you anymore… all I can promise you, that it is going to be alright."
He searched for a way to fix all of this, even though he couldn't tell you how. It was better this way as it would only drag you deeper into the dead end that your own father had already set up. The mere thought about it made his heart grow even more painful.
"Do you regret it sometimes?", you suddenly asked, looking at the vibrant clear water of the pond. "What do you mean?"
"That you marched with Emperor Severus back then?"
This question wasn't easy to answer, it was written on Acacius face, as he turned his face to the turtles and sighed.
"I did believe in Severus... i still do. Under him, Rome was able to secure itself and become strong again. What comes after that now - only time will tell. But what i know is that i have to leave in a few weeks with my troups again. An order of the Emperors."
It wasn't a particular surprising news, but nonetheless your fingers digged themselves into the fabric of your toga-like blue dress, while you still hept your head high. Despair was no useful emotion and not a good thought right now. You needed to stay calm, stick to yourself and find a way on how to deal with all of the things that were happening. As you'd said you were no child anymore - you will find a way out if this, even without your father.
You didn't say a word in response, however you closed your arms around him as the fear that with him being gone it could get even worse, lingered on your mind. Little did you know that the world you had known was already on the brink of falling apart.
_____________________________________________
The smell of incence, wine, sweet perfume and sweat filled the rooms of Emperor Caracalla's chambers, while naked bodies moved themselves to the rythm of a small group of musicians. The melodies of their instruments mixed themselves with the moans of the men and women in ecstacy, the worshippers of Bacchus - god of wine, euphoria and madness. Drinking and making love was the way they prayed nearly every night as Caracalla found in it a way to escape the reality that almost drove him crazy. Here in his chambers, the only Emperor that mattered was him, the only word that was heard was his own. At least one small realm for himself, while he had to share the rest of the world with his twin brother.
But it was different this time, when he stared at the scenery with a mind clouded in intoxication. His breaths went ragged, while he sat on a bed decorated with velvet cushions, a young man kneeled between his legs and sent him to elysium with his tongue, while he was surrounded by beautiful slaves, women with golden chains, that decorated their naked breasts and hips. And yet even in a scenery like this, where he usually found a way to calm his restless mind, he was still thinking about her. Not only her, sadly - that goddamn General was another thought. The hero of Rome was no pleasant figure for him anymore, he was nothing more than a Brutus, but Caracalla was not the one to end up like Julius Caesar.
The mere thought of killing this treacherous son of a whore hit Caracalla's brain and made him cum into the mouth of the slave that had his dick deep in his throat. This peak of his pleasure would've helped him to relax if not one of the praetorian guards stepped in and walked with his black and lilac amror through the voyeristic scenery like it was a halluzination in front of the Emperor's eyes. Without a second thought, Caracalla simply pushed the young slave, who was still sitting at his feet, to the side and stood up. His hand quickly grabbed the white toga that layed on the floor which he threw over his own naked, pale body. "Why do you disturb me!?", he hissed, as if he wasn't already expecting him.
The soldier ignored the music, the slaves that layed on the ground and fucked each other, just as he ignored the half-naked Emperor right in front of him, who still wore his golden laurel crown and his jewelries. "Emperor Geta waits for you."
For a moment, the young man with the gingerblonde hair stared at his guard, before he nodded quickly, as if it got him out of a daydream. "Yes, yes i will come to him, i am right there, tell him that. And get that slave Marcellus here," he answered, hand waving him away before his tone shifted and he screamed at his 'guests'. "Get out, GET OUT OF MY SIGHT! NOW!" The music stopped immediately and all eyes were set on Caracalla, while the first slaves already got to their feet again. „NOW,“ he repeated in a louder and added in a hissing tone „…or I will claim your tongue with a dagger!“
Caracalla was impossible to read fully, just as he was impulsive. It would’ve not been the first time one participant of this nightly debaucheries had lost his tongue or another part of his body.
_____________________________________________
Emperor Geta waited in his embroidered night robe, which was half open, exposing his bare and pale chest. Sitting on a cushioned wooden chair, he stared with tired eyes out the window of the balcony, the darkness of Rome in front of him. Just as his brother he had someone in his chambers, but instead of a whole horde of slaves he had chosen one good whore with hairs that reminded him of you. It was just a dull replacement, he knew that, yet it was enough for a good fuck before he would’ve went to sleep.
If there was not his twin brother, who‘d call for him in the middle of the goddamn night. By the gods he hated to be disturbed like that, especially after countless of times his brother got him here only to share uninteresting - sometimes even paranoid - gossip with him, which Caracalla had heard from the mouth of one of his slaves.
When the curtains of the attached room opened and Geta saw his brother entering with his wild hair and only with a toga over his bare body, his nose twitched in anger. „Don‘t tell me you disturbed my sleep and called for my immediate coming while you were fucking whores at your damn orgy!? When you’re telling me that your problem is, that you can’t sleep now, I will cross you myself!“ Yes, it wasn’t the first time Caracalla had called him for such nonesense. And usually Geta had a lot of patience with him, given his psychological condition, but not tonight.
Caracalla stopped in an instant and looked at his brother with big eyes as if he tries to convince him that he wasn’t guilty of anything. „Yes, but- I had a reason for that!“ he insisted, which only fueled Geta's anger. „Lucinius, bring us the slave!“ Caracalla quickly said and the Praetorian guard who just had informed him about his brother came in with a skinny, yet tall young man. He was a slave but given the clothes he wore, it was clear that he had a higher rank within the household he was serving in.
„Who is that, one of your toy boys?“ Geta asked, eying the stranger he‘d never seen before. But Caracalla shook his head and stepped forth to place his hand on the shoulder of that slave.
„No! He is a slave from the household of senator Gracchus,“ he explained and couldn’t hide an almost devilish smile as this said slave was here for one reason alone - to tell them everything. „Marcellus, tell him,“ he ordered and whispered into his ear. „I promised you your freedom and a good amount of gold, to return to your family. You want to see your daughter again, right? So don’t disappoint me now.“ With those words he stepped back for a moment, giving the slave a moment to breath as he seemingly tried to find the right words. He was nervous, the way his fingers twitched and his eyes were glued to the marble ground under his feet.
"I... i am a servant in the household of senator Gracchus for nearly a decade now", Marcellus began and forced himself to look up into the testing eyes of Geta, who was growing more impatient with each second passing. "The General... General Acacius as well as a couple of other senators visit my master regularly in the middle of the night and they always retreat into a secret room in the cellar of his villa."
With an amused whistle Geta interrupted him. "Why should we care for the sexual escapades of a group of old men?", he hissed, but Caracalla threw in with a darkened shimmer in his eyes. "Wait for it, you will be furious, trust me! Continue."
Marcellus needed a second to calm himself down and stop to shake as he formed his next words. "When i brought them wine once, they stopped with their conversation as long as i stayed in the room, but when i was in the corridor, they spoke again. They didn't know that i was still there, so i just listened and- it was clear that they questioned you, my Emperors. They questioned your leadership and the general - i wouldn't dare to speak out loud such a blasphemy against your rule, if it was not what i've heard with my own ears."
Geta's face darkened with every new information Marcellus was telling him and slowly he realized why his brother was so eager to get him here. The laugh of his twin filled the room, which turned hysterical. "Tell him, Marcellus!"
"General Acacius and the senators Gracchus, Livinidus, Galba and Erebus plan to overthrow you with the legions that are under Acacius' command," he said and had to force every word out of his mouth, afraid of the anger that cooked like a vulcano in Geta. His hands formed fists and he bit his tongue. All this time, Acacius - the hero - was a traitor, a Brutus. And now he connected the dots, thinking about every time this General wined about going off to war. This maggot.
"And this is true!?", he asked in a loud, demanding tone. "If that is a lie, we will punish you in the most terrible ways you could imagine and feed you to the lions in the Colosseum!" Marcellus eyes were filled with tears of fear, yet he shook his head heavily.
"No, please! I speak the truth, i swear it! I swear it in front of Jupiter himself, please, you must believe me! I came to Emperor Caracalla, who promised me my freedom if i tell it here again. It is no lie!"
"Kill him", Geta ordered in a cold tone and before Marcellus could even scream, it was the blade of the Praetorial Guard that cut his head off from behind, making it fall to the ground like a ball of bones and meat, followed by his body. Under the resounding laugh of Caracalla, Geta ordered the Guard to leave them so that he could speak to his brother in private.
"You just read my mind, dear brother! I wouldn't have let him go either", Caracalla sang. "We should kill them all, that bastard Acacius and his old senate sluts! Let's cut off their heads and spike them on the Palatin for all to see!"
But Geta was already two steps ahead when he closed the distance between him and his twin. Yes, he was furious, it took him all restraints to not give in the urge of ordering their murder. "No," he said, which drew a questioning look on his brothers face.
"What no?! Those are traitors, TRAITORS! You've heard the same things i did!?"
"I did, but the senators are no danger. These old men talk about the republic which is nothing more than dust and ashes! A faded dream and without any backing, they just continue to shit themselves in the senate. When our father took Rome, the people cheered to him, because they didn't want a Republic but a strong Emperor to guide them, remember? The head of the snake is Acacius! He must die, and he will die, but not yet!", Geta started and turned to the balcony, leaving his brother for a moment as he stood in the darkness with his his white toga. "We need his legion, and we will make him our fucking dog, who has no chance to ever decline any order of us, if we have his beloved daughter. If he doesn't do as we say, then she will die."
But he will, Geta knew that. Nothing seemed to be more precious in Acacius' life than his family and especially his dear daughter. And this whole situation had a bonus for Geta, because when he turned to face Caracalla again, he announced. "I will force him with an order to marry his daughter to me!"
Caracalla froze in place, his eyes staring at his brother as if he just had a bad dream. "What?", he simply asked again, while his brother's anger turned into anticipation. "With a marriage we bind her to our reign and therefore we will bind the General. Acacius delivers us his own daughter and his own head on a silver tablet with his treacherous nonsense!"
Geta wanted to place his hands on his twin's shoulders, but Caracalla slapped them out of his way. "I don't accept this! NO! I DON'T ACCEPT THIS!", he screamed at him, which really irritated his twin. "Why can't I be the One to marry her!?"
There it was. For the first time, the twins revealed in front of each other that they longed for the same girl. And that made it complicated. Nonetheless Geta was still confused, why his brother reacted like that, so he reminded him of what Caracalla said all those years.
"You never wanted to marry? How many times did you told our father before he died? Every time he said to us, that we would need to find ourselves someone to take as a wife, you refused. You were too busy indulging in your late night activities and Bacchus rituals."
He stepped forward with an intense glaze in his eyes. This way of being instructive, while Caracalla was still his twin and technically even older than him, made his brother's mouth twitch in response to his next words. "May i remind you about the fact that i am the one of us dealing with most of the political responsibilities, because you always wanted to stick to your fun."
Those words were indeed true, as Caracalla hated those senate discussions, which lead to nothing and were only for show - an illusion for both the plebs and the upper-classes. Geta continued, but not without making clear that he saw himself worthier of you being his wife, bound in front of the gods. "All of that is fine, brother. I've always protected you from the boring senators and hypocrites of the Roman elite, while you collected the most beautiful slaves and enjoyed yourself. You have no duties, as long as i take them off your shoulders and finally shut up all the people, finally demanding a royal marriage after all those years. And given all of that, i do think i deserve to marry before you to present Rome an Empress."
Caracalla stared at him, straight into the eyes of his twin Geta and his fingers twitched. If he would just have a dagger now? But he had none right here and given the fact that his brother was always taller and stronger with his statue, it wouldn't make sense to start a fight. In fact he couldn't even argue against him, as it was true, he was never an Emperor that bothered himself with any political nonesense. Yet he couldn't shake off the urge to kill Geta for this. Again, he took a thing from him he wanted to own for himself - only for himself. Even though his twin showed his goodwill, as he always did. His hands layed itself on Caracalla's cheeks and he gave him a brotherly kiss on the forehead. "Don't worry, dear brother. I am not above sharing her divine presence with you. But she will always be my wife," he whispered, followed by a smile on his lips.
With those words he simply turned and left the room, leaving Caracalla, who was still wearing his white toga over his naked body, as well as the body of Marcellus alone in the dark. His mind got corrupted with so many thoughts in this very moment, but the most prominentely thought was anger. So he screamed hysterically and grabbed the table that stood at the side to throw it down, taking the vase on top and hurled it straight through the room, followed by the head of that damn slave. He hated Geta. He hated him so much and still they had shared the whomb of their mother, which made them share the same blood.
How long would he be able to hold the urge to murder his own brother - especially now as Geta claimed you?

Hello there :)
This is my first time requesting something but I was wondering if you could do prompt 7 with Loki?
Like maybe in the first Thor and they're having a ball and they're friends to lovers possibly?
I would be absolutely honored if you made this but no pressure 😁
Hope you have a great morning/noon/night ❤️
Hi hello! I love Loki so I hope you like how I've characterized him, this is supposed to be before he starts all the drama and maybe prevents it cause love conquers all ya know?
Loki (#7 finding a somewhat private area at a fancy party to fuck)
18+ f!reader. Creampie. Strength kink. Childhood friends to lovers. Semi public sex.
"So this is where you snuck off to." Loki only knew how to speak in a purr. You knew this, and yet it had still bothered you to listen to your childhood friend use his silver tongue on another woman. So you'd escaped to the balcony, mead in hand as you looked over the golden buildings of Asgard.
"I'm surprised you even noticed I was gone." Maybe the mead had gone to your head, or your centuries old crush was finally becoming too much to bear. You never spoke this way.
"I always notice you. Especially in that gown." Loki wondered if you knew what you did to him, wrapped in silk so close to your skin tone it almost looked like you were naked if he squinted.
"Really? Because I'm sure Lady Astrid would be happy to show you hers again." Yes, it was petty of you but your heart was aching. He'd been so close to her.
"Who?" Loki was genuinely confused, he'd made his rounds as expected of a Prince of Asgard, but he'd been distracted by you the whole time. He'd even used magic to keep an eye on you when you were out of his line of sight.
"The one you.. lingered with." You wouldn't face him, and for the first time in a hundred years Loki felt-- hopeful. Maybe his love for you could be returned after all.
"I'd do more than linger with you, if you'd let me. I'd spend a millenia groveling at your feet for a kiss." Loki closed the distance easily with his long legs, leaning against the balcony railing beside you.
"You're just saying that to make me feel better." You scoffed, "I don't need pity, even from you my Prince."
"Pity. That's what you think this is." Loki took your glass from your hand and set it aside, caging you against the balcony when you finally turned to look at him. He towered over you with something close to anger in his eyes.
"Maybe charming you isn't the answer then." His gaze flickered down to your lips a fraction of a second before he was kissing you. But even calling it a kiss wasn't fair. He was making love to your mouth. Sucking on your tongue, hand buried in your hair as he cradled you against him. His arm around your waist pulled you closer until you felt the hard length of him pressed into your stomach.
"Does this feel like pity to you?" He rasped when he finally pulled away, both of you breathless and panting. "I've wanted you too much for too long for you to ever imply I was offering out of pity."
"I didn't- didn't know," You were melting, the heat of his body through your thin dress was tearing down your defenses by the second.
"I was going to court you, before touching you. I wasn't going to be like Thor and bed you before I even asked for your hand. But maybe I need to be more like my brother for you to get the hint." Loki wasn't really even thinking before the words were spilling out of his mouth, because you were in his arms. He could see your pebbled nipples through the silk of your dress which he ached to taste. And he was so goddamn tired of being a gentleman if it meant you thought he didn't want you.
You were going to explode. His hands were greedy, grabbing at your ass and cupping your breast in his palm while he talked. Had you really been so mistaken?
"Maybe I should be more forward. Is that what you need little one?" Your cunt throbbed and you nodded, wrapping your arms around his neck and throwing aside your pride as you begged,
"Please? Need you, for so long now I've-" He shut you up with a kiss. This one even hungrier than the last as tugged your dress up your hips, cupping your sex and groaning when he felt how you drenched his fingers.
"Oh." He smiled wickedly as he traced your slit, feeling how your hole clenched down greedliy around the tip of his finger. "Hungry little thing isn't she?"
"Loki, please," you were lost in him. His clean yet intoxicating scent, the way his slender yet massive frame blocked you from view. It was like it was just the two of you in the whole realm.
"I don't know.. Don't want you to confuse this for a pity fuck." Loki was teasing you, and yet you could tell beneath it all he was truly hurt by your assumption.
"Prove me wrong then. Show me how much you want me." You pouted at him, trying to tug him closer as he freed his cock from his pants. The tip was flushed and sticky with arousal as he rutted against your folds to slick his shaft. Every grind of his cock against your cilt made you ache to be filled.
"As milday commands." It was a stretch to take him, but the slight burn was nothing in comparison to the bone deep relief you felt when he was sheathed in your wet heat.
His forehead dropped against yours as he cursed, eyeing the way your pussy was stuffed to the brim and creaming on him. He whistled low and appreciatively.
"This is not going to end here. Now that I know what you feel like," he swallowed thickly, thrusted a little deeper into you until you felt him in the back of your throat with still a few inches to spare. "I can't ever go without you again."
"You don't have to." You promised, wrapping your leg around his waist pulling him closer. It wasn't enough until his balls tapped against your ass. You'd taken all of him.
"I've waited too long to be gentle. But-" You were the one to silence him this time, nipping at his bottom lip so sharply you saw a bit of blood.
"I've waited longer." He grinned, more than a little feral over you. He picked you up and put your other leg over his hip- holding you up without even straining.
"Then you'll take me like a good little wife to be won't you?" You were stunned by his words but Loki didn't wait for an answer before he was fucking you mid air, using all his strength to lift you up and drop you on his cock over and over until you were screaming.
"Loki!" You knew he hadn't cast any spells for privacy, and yet you couldn't stop yourself.
"Louder, let all the women know who owns this cock." He growled in your ear, splitting you open and making your eyes cross every time he hit that spot inside you. Your legs were shaking around his waist as your orgasm grew like a wave threatening to drown you in pleasure.
"Loki, fuck, more!" Distantly you realized you would have to explain this to Heimdall at one point, but you were truly too fucked out to care.
"Good girl, just, like, that." Every word was met with a thrust inside your gummy walls that fluttered around his cock, sucking him in like your pussy never wanted him to pull out.
"You're going to make me cum, darling. Where do you want it?" He could still be somewhat of a gentleman. Give his lady options, like taking his load in her pussy or on her face.
"In-inside, please, want to give you a child!" Loki's grip on your thighs grew tight enough to bruise a mortal, but you merely moaned louder. He touched you like he owned you and you couldn't get enough.
"Want to give me an hier? Gonna be such a pretty little mother aren't you, fuck." His hand found your little bundle of nerves, and you whimpered as the wave broke. You came so hard you squirted, soaking his formal attire and ruining your dress without a drop of remorse.
"That's it darling, milk me. Take every drop I give you." His thrusts grew sloppy, the only sign of how out of control he felt as he started unloading in you. His heavy balls pumped spurt after spurt of seed against your cervix.
Only when he set you down on your feet did he pull out reluctantly, watching with rapt attention as his cum slid down your thigh. With a wave of his hand your clothes were righted and clean- but he left his cum leaking out of you as he offered his arm. The perfect picture of princely charm.
"Shall we announce the engagement then?"

BAND AUS AND MUSIC MY BREAD AND BUTTER. HERE ARE SOME IDEAS:
- tomura is defo a lead singer
- toga, at first, is skilled in being a keyboardist/pianist... but she enjoys singing A LOT more
^ regular singing BUT ALSO... hear me out... scream singing too bc her in s7... 😁😁😁
- not really emo, but i feel like they have an a lot like birds esc style in their singing styles. tomura fits kurt and toga fits cory lockwood (ex: orange time machines care by allb)
-since toga wouldn't be their keyboardist though, perhaps... compress on keyboard.
^ he gives the silliest ideas for songs that just WORK. think a random slow jazz part in a song. he has to write that part tho, but toga, twice, and magne are all super into it.
^ (ex: "doing the same things and expecting different results" by hail the sun @ 1:56)
^ dabi, tomura are against it at first, and spinner is a little unsure abt it. but when the song is finished, they like it. begrudgingly for dabi
- dabi... he gives me bassist vibes. idk why, but he also does backing vocals occasionally. i think he'd specifically sound like the part in again by sufferer (2:35)
^ also totally gives me vibes that he knows how to play violin or something, only because endeavor pressured him into playing in orchestra in school
^ definitely joined the band and learned how to play bass JUST to piss him off, ended up liking it a lot
-spinner on lead guitarist and magne is an additional guitarist (most bands usually have 2 reg guitarists and 1 bassist)
- TWICE ON DRUMS. drumming takes strength and stamina, which i feel like he has and also just Gives Off drummer vibes to me
^ throws his drumsticks to the crowd for ppl to have LOL, gives broken cymbals to em too
additional ideas + other villains:
- tomura is passionate about music, and his dad knows afo who owns a record label 🤢 they sign to his label it SUCKS.
- they meet giran and kurogiri there. kurogiri is their manager, giran is their producer and helps scout out band members for tomura's band
^ they teach tomura how to book shows, so they don't have to spend the extra money to order to hire a booking manager
- muscular was their drummer for a short time (afo assigned him the role), but his attitude and behavior towards the band caused him to be kicked out
^ because of this, twice is apart of their touring crew and helps them set up on stage since muscular is the drummer. but occasionally he takes over if they need him to
^ kurogiri had to go to afo and explain that muscular not being kicked out would hurt the band, AND his business. thats why he agreed to muscular being kicked out
other villains + their bands:
- stain is also in a band... he's a singer that can drum too. he drums and sings. but i think his style is definitely more like zeta's (venezuelan rock band). idk who his bandmates would be tho sorgy
^ inspires toga/dabi/spinner/whoever else to actually pursue music.
- both bands tour together, with the lov as openers for stain's band! stain and tomura don't get along, but fans love when they tour together.
^ they would both hate overhaul's band though if he had one, thats the only time they bond 😭
- the shie hassaikai hypothetical band is that they have aesthetic perfection or iamx vibes...
- overhaul is their lead singer, chrono is on keyboard/synth and setsuno is a guitarist, hojo is a bassist, and rappa is their drummer
- tengai is their manager briefly, but i think it'd be funny is they signed under afo's label and forces them to have lady nagant as their manager 😭 so tengai becomes their booking agent
^ she gets along with them though. somewhat.

Eye of the Pheonix is actually one of the best merlin episodes because:
merlin and Gwen besties shenanigans; “what’s he actually thinking about” “you”
cold open to the most tender merthur scene
Merlin sleeping outside all knight for arthur
Hiccuping scene and arthur getting so annoyed
“But the perilous lands are… perilous”
“The task is meant to be completed alone and unaided” the start of the best continuing joke of all time
Putting the rest under a cut cause it’s long
Little morgwen moment in the market i love (one of the last we get….)
Cute arthur and gwen scene! Hehe
This is just the shipping episode of all time everyone wins
“You’ll need help” and the first thing merlin does is go find gwaine
smiles “hello, gwaine” “ah, merlin :)”
Immediately puts an arm around merlin
Throws merlin off a roof. this is what merwaine is all about :)
Gwaine is still Gwaine and not whatever the writers did to him after becoming a knight
Bridge guy (Grettir) is great and Arthur’s “no I’m prince arthur of camelot” i love you you’re so dense sometimes
“You need strength and magic” and then gwaine and merlin come along and NO ONE seems to think two seconds more about the implications
“ive been to almost every tavern” “so have i” you’re telling me merlin spent all that time looking for specifically gwaine to help him when he knows arthur is in danger
ANOTHER MORGWEN SCENE (ik morgana just wants her to leave) but we weren’t completely robbed
Arthur not realizing that he feels like shit and thinking hmm that’s weird, this is THE dense, damsel in distress arthur episode
Gwaine is two feet away are you really telling me he didn’t hear bridge guy call merlin Magic
“Strength has arrived the trio is complete” immeidate sword draw
But also the establishment of them as a trio i really love and they never did anything else with it
Gwaine with the flowers :))
THE ENTIREY OF THE FIRE SCENE
*THE* MERWAINE SCENE EVER
“a pheasant” gwaine please
“Why do you want to do this?” cause he’s in love with you merlin
“Same reason as you” (hesitates) (eye contact) “help a friend”
“arthurs lucky to have us”
…
“not arthur” SCREAMING
we’re back to the fond looks
gwaines tiny nod of assurance when merlin looks at him like ??! after he says not arthur
“youre the only friend i have” and i couldnt bear to lose you
Gwen finding out morgana has magic
“she’s changed” break my heart why don’t you (i dont want you to change) BRING HER BACKKK this is making me miss the arc morgana could have had so badly
They caught up to arthur SO FAST goes to show how arthurs going through it
Not wyvern they have four legs actually (tho their designs are cool)
This would have been such a good episode for gwaine to learn merlin is a dragonlord & has magic
Arthur conveniently is knocked out (as always) when merlin does cool magic stuff to save him
When merlin orders them to go and they bow their heads and walk away they look like kicked puppies
The famous arthur waking up to merlins silly little smile and being 100% not appreciative
whatthehellareYOUdoinghere? why can’t you ever just say thanks? augh THANKS!whatforcompLeTlYrUiNiNgThEqUeSt?!
i am supposed to be doing this ALONEEEE
“Are gwen and morgana here too? we going to have a surprise party?” i love you sassy arthur and yes you absolutely should have a surprise party
Do you want us to help you or do you want to do this ~aloneeee~
MERLIN!
The little smile and nod like yeah they got him
“this is a quest merlin not a treasure hunt” well it is sort of- “MERLIN.”
How is that one stone completely sound proof
The cockroaches are icky but y’all have gloves its not that bad you couldn’t even feel them
Set up with the water of avalon and something that actually follows into later episodes
“Merlin.” + arthur doesn’t want to show he actually cares about him vs. gwaine pulling him into a hug
“look what i found” merlin and gwaine shared looks of no you didn’t
The trios conversation at the end i love their dynamics + merlins pause and genuine thanks
Eoin macken looking pretty <33 (he always does)
Merlins little overview of the quest hes so excited awww
Immediate shift to sassy merlin the Duality
I wish Gwen knowing about morgana’s magic would have been explored more i want to see her join gaius and merlin in plotting and going on little quests
Anyways yeah to conclude i miss Gwaine sm :(

Power: a Bloodline x Rhea Ripley fic.
Chapter 5: Aftermath
This story falls into the dark romance genre and includes non con/reluctance themes that may be triggering and unsuitable for some readers. This is a work of fiction and I in no way advocate for this type of thing in real life. All characters are operating under the PRICK acronym, Personal responsibility in consensual kink. If this is not for you please keep scrolling.
Jonathan leaned back into Demi’s couch, his scotch swirling lazily in the crystal glass. The ice clinked softly as he brought the drink to his lips, savoring the smoky burn. His phone buzzed on the coffee table, and he glanced at the screen. Joe.
Jonathan smirked as he answered. “Damn, you really went all out, huh?” Joe’s deep voice rumbled through the line.
“Oh yeah,” Jonathan replied with a low chuckle. “Pulled out everything for that one. I think she knows her place now.” He took another sip, the satisfaction evident in his tone.
“Good,” Joe said, his voice carrying a mix of approval and finality. “That’s what she deserves. Let me know how everything goes later—I’ve got to handle some things.”
“Will do,” Jonathan replied, ending the call. He set his phone down and drained the rest of his scotch, the warmth spreading through his chest. Rising from the couch, he placed the empty glass on the kitchen counter before making his way to the bedroom.
He pushed open the door and found Demi exactly as he had left her—curled up on the bed, her body trembling beneath the covers. Her silent tears had dried, but the redness in her eyes betrayed her emotional turmoil.
Jonathan’s expression shifted, softening slightly. He stepped into the adjoining bathroom, turning the knobs on the tub until steam began to rise. The sound of running water filled the quiet room as he poured in a generous amount of soothing bath oil, the scent of lavender quickly permeating the air.
Returning to the bedroom, Jonathan gently pulled back the covers, revealing Demi’s fragile form. She flinched at his touch, but he didn’t waver. Without a word, he slid his arms beneath her and lifted her effortlessly. Demi’s body was limp, her resistance depleted.
He carried her to the bathroom and slowly lowered her into the hot water. A sharp inhale escaped her lips as the warmth enveloped her, easing the tension in her sore muscles.
Jonathan knelt by the side of the tub, picking up a washcloth and wetting it before running it gently over her arms and shoulders. His movements were deliberate, almost tender.
“You did well,” he said quietly, his voice devoid of its usual harshness. “You endured what you needed to.”
Demi didn’t respond, her gaze fixed on the water. The physical relief was welcome, but the emotional wounds lingered, raw and painful.
Jonathan sighed, sensing her internal struggle. “This isn’t just about obedience, Demi. It’s about trust. Trusting me to guide you, even when it’s hard.”
Her eyes flicked up to meet his, a mix of defiance and vulnerability. “Trust?” she echoed, her voice barely audible. “How can I trust someone who takes pleasure in breaking me?”
Jonathan’s hand stilled for a moment before resuming its gentle motion. “It’s not about breaking you,” he said, his tone firm but not unkind. “It’s about reshaping you—showing you your strength in surrender.”
She turned her head away, the words offering little solace. Jonathan stood, his imposing figure casting a long shadow. “Stay in the bath,” he instructed. “Let it calm you. When you’re ready, get dressed and come out.”
Without waiting for a response, he left the bathroom, closing the door behind him. Demi leaned back against the tub, the scent of lavender wrapping around her like a fragile shield. Her mind raced, but for now, she let the water carry away some of her pain, knowing the night was far from over.
—
Jonathan leaned back on the couch, eyes fixed on the bathroom door as Demi finally emerged. She was dressed simply in joggers and an oversized t-shirt, her hair damp and clinging to her shoulders. Every step she took was deliberate, slow, as though each movement sent shockwaves of pain through her body. Jonathan's gaze didn't waver, his expression unreadable but intense.
He patted the couch beside him, a silent command. "Sit here."
Demi hesitated, her heart pounding. The memories of the day lingered like a shadow over her, and every shift of her body reminded her of the torment she'd endured. But there was also a strange pull-an invisible tether that drew her toward him despite the pain. Slowly, she made her way over and lowered herself onto the couch with a wince, careful to avoid sudden movements.
Jonathan studied her for a moment, his sharp eyes taking in every flicker of discomfort, every labored breath. The silence between them stretched, thick with unspoken tension. Then, leaning forward, he rested his elbows on his knees and clasped his hands together.
"Look," he began, his tone deceptively calm.
"How about this?"
Demi glanced at him, wary. “You can leave," he said, his voice almost casual. "Right now. Walk away from all of this-from me, from Joe, from Joshua, from Joseph."
Demi's eyes widened, her body going rigid.
"What?" she whispered, barely able to process his words.
Jonathan leaned back again, his expression cold and calculated. "You heard me. You can leave. It's in the contract-if you'd bothered to read it thoroughly. You're not a prisoner, Demi. You never were."
Her heart raced as the weight of his words sank in. He was offering her an escape-a chance to leave behind the pain, the humiliation, the intense dynamics that had consumed her life. Yet, with that offer came the threat of losing everything else. The moments of pure, unfiltered connection. The way her body responded to theirs, the way they made her feel both vulnerable and powerful in a way she couldn't explain.
Jonathan's gaze remained fixed on her, unwavering. "This is your chance," he said, his voice low. "No strings, no consequences. I will walk out that door, and it all ends here."
Demi's mind spun, a whirlwind of conflicting emotions. Part of her wanted to run-to escape the intensity, the fear, the degradation she had endured. But another part of her, a deeper, more primal part, clung to the memory of the highs. The euphoria that only came when she surrendered completely. The moments when her world narrowed to just the sound of their voices, the feel of their touch.
Jonathan watched her closely, his eyes narrowing slightly as the silence dragged on.
He could see the battle waging within her, the way her hands trembled slightly in her lap, her lip caught between her teeth.
Finally, she spoke, her voice trembling but resolute. "No."
Jonathan's lips curled into a slow, predatory smile. "Good," he said softly, his tone laced with satisfaction. "You've made your choice."
Without another word, he reached out, wrapping a hand around the back of her neck. He pulled her close, their faces mere inches apart, his breath warm against her skin. His eyes bore into hers, searching for any sign of hesitation. Finding none, he closed the distance between them, capturing her lips in a deep, possessive kiss.
Demi's body responded instinctively, melting against him despite the residual pain. His kiss was demanding, filled with the dominance she had come to crave. When he finally pulled away, his hand remained on her neck, his thumb brushing lightly against her jawline.
"Trust me," he said, his voice low and commanding.
She nodded, her eyes locked onto his. "I do," she whispered, the words now sure.
Jonathan's smile widened, a mixture of pride and something darker. He pulled her fully into his lap, cradling her as though she were something both fragile and precious. Demi rested her head against his chest, the steady rhythm of his heartbeat grounding her.
For a long time, they sat in silence, the tension from earlier replaced by a strange sense of peace. Demi knew she had crossed a line, one she could never uncross. But in Jonathan's arms, she felt a sense of belonging-a certainty that, despite everything, this was where she was meant to be.
Jonathan stroked her hair gently, his voice breaking the silence. "This isn't easy," he said quietly. "But nothing worth having ever is. You'll learn that."
Demi nodded again, her eyes fluttering shut.
She didn't know what the future held, but for now, she was content to let Jonathan lead.
Jonathan looked down at Demi, his expression softening. “How are you feeling?” he asked, his voice low and gentle.
Demi shifted slightly, wincing at the lingering pain. “I’m still hurting, Master,” she admitted quietly.
Jonathan leaned in, pressing a light kiss to her forehead. “Demi, you can call me Jon again,” he said, his tone warm. “We’re out of the bedroom.”
She nodded, her eyes filled with a mixture of exhaustion and trust. “Okay…Jon.”
He smiled, then stood and walked over to the kitchen, where a small paper bag sat on the counter. Demi hadn’t noticed it before. He rummaged through it and pulled out a few items, along with a bottle of water from the fridge. Returning to her side, he presented two ibuprofen tablets, a bar of dark chocolate, and a small jar of vanilla bean paste.
Demi furrowed her brows. “What are these for?” she asked, her voice tinged with curiosity.
Jonathan handed her the water and placed the pills in her palm. “The ibuprofen is for the physical pain,” he said. “Take them first.”
She nodded, swallowing the pills with a few sips of water. Jonathan then unwrapped the dark chocolate, broke off a piece, and held it out to her.
“The chocolate,” he began, “is for your endorphins. It’ll help boost your mood and ease the tension. Trust me, it works.”
Demi hesitated, then took the piece of chocolate, letting it melt slowly in her mouth. The rich, bittersweet flavor seemed to wrap around her senses, offering a small comfort amid the soreness and fatigue.
“And the vanilla bean paste?” she asked, holding up the small jar with a questioning look.
Jonathan smirked, leaning back slightly. “This you smell.” he said. “Vanilla has calming properties. It’ll help you unwind.”
Demi smiled as she focused on the subtle care he was showing her, appreciating the thoughtful gestures more than she could express.
Jonathan reached over and brushed a strand of hair from her face. “You’ve been through a lot, but you handled it,” he said softly. “You’re stronger than you realize, Demi.”
His words settled over her like a warm blanket, and for the first time since their punishment session, she felt a sense of peace starting to return.
Jonathan held Demi close, wrapping his arms around her as they lay on the couch. He knew how important physical closeness was during aftercare, especially with how severe her subdrop had been. He gently stroked her hair, his voice soothing as he whispered, “Tomorrow, I have something planned just for you.”
Demi lifted her head slightly, her eyes searching his. “What is it?” she asked, her voice soft but curious.
Jonathan smiled, a glint of excitement in his eyes. “I thought we could start the day at the lingerie boutique we have an account with. You can use your stipend to pick out whatever you like.”
Demi’s face lit up. “I’d love that,” she said, her tone more enthusiastic than it had been all day.
Jonathan nodded, pleased with her reaction. “After that,” he continued, “we’ll head over to Zales. I’ll let you pick out something special.”
Demi blinked in surprise. “Zales? But…I already have my anklet from you all. It means so much to me.”
Jonathan shook his head gently. “That anklet was from all of us, Demi. This will be different. It’s a personal gift, just from me. Each of us gets to give you one thing that represents our individual bond with you.”
Her cheeks flushed with warmth at the thought, and she smiled softly. “I’d love that too,” she said, her voice filled with gratitude.
Jonathan leaned back slightly, his expression turning serious but still tender. “Before we do all that, though, there’s one thing we need to take care of.”
Demi tilted her head. “What’s that?”
“Your job,” Jonathan said, his tone calm but firm. “You’re going to email your boss and tell him something that’ll get you a week out of the office. You need the time, Demi.”
She hesitated, her mind racing. “But…what should I say?”
Jonathan smirked. “Come on, you’re a writer. You’ll think of something. Tell him you’re working on something big and need uninterrupted time to focus.”
Demi chuckled lightly, the tension in her body starting to ease. “You make it sound so easy.”
Jonathan gave her a reassuring squeeze. “Because it is. Your health—both mental and physical—comes first. The work will still be there when you get back.”
Demi nodded, finally feeling a sense of relief. She reached for her phone, composing the email as Jonathan watched over her shoulder. Once it was sent, she sighed and leaned back into his embrace.
“Thank you,” she murmured.
Jonathan kissed the top of her head. “That’s what I’m here for, baby. Now, just relax. Tomorrow’s all about you.”
— Meanwhile..
Joshua sat rigid on his couch, his jaw clenched, hands gripping his knees so tightly his knuckles turned white. Across from him stood Joe and Joseph, their expressions cold and unyielding. The tension in the room was suffocating, the silence only broken by the low hum of the air conditioner.
Joe had just ended a call with Jonathan, his lips curling into a smirk as he tucked his phone into his pocket. “Would you look at that?” Joe said, his voice low but sharp. “She went through everything.” He let out a sinister chuckle.
Joshua’s stomach twisted at the words. He could barely breathe as Joe continued, his eyes narrowing. “Now, how does it feel, knowing Demi endured it all?”
The implication behind the question sent a surge of anger through Joshua. He shot up from the couch, fists clenched. “You think I’m just going to sit here and listen to you?” he snapped, his voice shaking with restrained fury. “I’m done with this—”
Before he could finish, Joe moved. Quick, calculated, and with the force of a freight train, he shoved Joshua back down onto the couch. Joshua landed hard, his chest heaving, and glared up at Joe.
Joe loomed over him, his voice calm but menacing. “We don’t do that around here anymore, Joshua,” he said, his tone dripping with authority. “Did you forget how this works?”
Joshua’s face twisted in defiance. “How it works?” he shot back. “I’m the only one out of all of us who prefers to lift her up instead of tearing her apart! You all treat her like she’s nothing but a plaything, but I actually care about her!”
Joe’s response was a laugh, but it wasn’t light or humorous. It was dark, filled with malice, and it made the hair on the back of Joshua’s neck stand on end. Joe leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “You haven’t even endured your punishment yet.”
Joshua’s blood ran cold. “What’s my punishment?” he asked, though he wasn’t sure he wanted to know the answer.
Joe’s eyes gleamed with a predatory light. “Friday night, the only thing you will be allowed to do,” he said slowly, “is listen.”
The meaning of those words hit Joshua like a punch to the gut. His face paled, and he shook his head in disbelief. “All I did was take her to dinner!” he shouted, his voice cracking with frustration.
Joe’s calm façade shattered. His face contorted with rage as he yelled, his voice echoing through the room. “YOU LIED!”
The sheer force of Joe’s voice made the room feel even smaller, the weight of his authority pressing down on Joshua like a vice. Joe took a step closer, towering over him. “You went behind my back,” Joe continued, his voice like a growl. “You broke the rules, and now you’re going to face the consequences. You’ll listen and you’ll learn. Because if you ever pull something like this again…”
Joe didn’t finish the sentence. He didn’t need to. The unspoken threat hung heavy in the air, a chilling reminder of the power he held over all of them.
Joshua sat back, his breathing shallow, his mind racing. He wanted to argue, to fight back, but he knew it was useless. Joe had made up his mind, and there was no escaping the punishment that awaited him.
— Friday. December 6th.
Demi sat on the edge of yet another hotel bed, the familiar surroundings offering little comfort. The soft hum of the air conditioner filled the room, blending with the gentle rhythm of her own heartbeat. She had just arrived with Joseph, her body still humming with anticipation. Her hair was styled neatly, every strand in place, her makeup subtle but enhancing. She wanted tonight to be different. After the emotional crash of her last subdrop, she was determined to approach this session with a sense of purpose and control. She needed to reclaim her strength within the dynamic, to feel empowered rather than overwhelmed.
The sound of the door opening broke her thoughts. Joseph stepped inside, his presence filling the room with quiet authority.
His dark eyes sparkled with warmth as he crossed the distance between them, leaning down to press a soft kiss to her lips.
"Hey," he murmured, his voice deep and soothing.
"Hi," Demi replied, her voice soft but eager.
She glanced up at him, her eyes searching his face. "What type of session will we do today?"
Joseph smiled, his expression both tender and calculating. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair behind her ear with a gentle touch. His fingers trailed along her cheek, the light caress sending a shiver down her spine.
"I got permission from Joe," he began, his voice calm but layered with meaning. He tilted her chin up slightly, his gaze locking onto hers. "Demi... my beautiful submissive..."
He paused, taking a moment to drink in her features-her sharp cheekbones, the softness of her lips, the vulnerability in her eyes mixed with determination. His thumb lightly traced her jawline, a gesture of both affection and control.
"Would you be interested," he continued, his tone steady and deliberate, "in being intimate with me first... and then, after a break, be intimate with Jon?"
Demi blinked, her heart skipping a beat at his proposal. The idea caught her off guard, yet the thought of experiencing a softer, more intimate connection filled her with unexpected warmth. She smiled, her lips curving upward as she considered his words.
The notion of a more tender, vanilla session sent a wave of serotonin through her, lifting her spirits.
"I'd like that," she said softly, her voice carrying a mix of excitement and relief.
Joseph's smile deepened, pleased with her response. "Good," he said, leaning down to kiss her again, this time lingering just a bit longer. "Tonight is about you, Demi. Let's remind you of how strong and cherished you are."
Demi nodded, feeling a renewed sense of trust and comfort. For the first time in what felt like ages, she allowed herself to fully relax, knowing she was in safe, capable hands. Demi patted the spot next to her, inviting Joseph to join her. Joseph sat down and wrapped his arms around Demi, kissing her deeply.
Demi moaned as Joseph's tongue explored her mouth, and she felt a familiar heat building between her legs. She broke the kiss and stood up, slowly removing her bra and letting it fall to the floor. Joseph's eyes widened as he took in Demi's breasts, and he leaned in to take one in his mouth. It was happening so fast.. the denial from Joe to have sex with the others and then all of a sudden, she can. It made her mind wander but those wandering thoughts were replaced as she leaned her head back, her body taking over with pleasure.
Demi gasped as Joseph's tongue swirled around her nipple, sending shivers down her spine. She ran her fingers through Joseph's hair, pulling him closer. Joseph moved his attention to Demi's other breast, giving it the same treatment. Demi moaned louder, her body begging for more. This was a different side of Joseph, something she was eager to experience, something that made her grow crazy for his touch.
“Daddy please..” Joseph slowly trailed his kisses down Demi's stomach, stopping at her thong. He hooked his fingers under the fabric and pulled it down, revealing Demi's wet pussy. Joseph wasted no time, diving in and licking Demi's clit. Demi had not had this in so long, to feel this man taking care of her… it was so worth it.
Demi's legs shook as Joseph's tongue explored her pussy, and she moaned louder. Joseph slipped a finger inside of her, and Demi gasped as he began to move it in and out. Joseph added another finger, and Demi's moans turned into screams of pleasure. “Yes daddy… please.. fuck..”
Joseph continued to finger Demi as he sucked on her clit, and Demi felt herself getting closer and closer to orgasm. She grabbed Joseph's head, pulling him closer as she begged for more. Joseph obliged, sucking harder and fingering her faster.
Demi's orgasm hit her like a wave, and she screamed “Daddy!” Joseph didn't stop, continuing to finger and suck Demi until she begged him to stop. Joseph pulled away, smiling up at Demi. "You tasted so good," Joseph said, licking his lips.
Demi blushed and pulled Joseph up, pushing him onto the bed. She straddled him, unbuttoning his pants and pulling them down. Joseph's cock sprang free, already hard and ready for Demi. “I see you taking power..” Joseph said.
Demi positioned herself over Joseph's cock, slowly lowering herself down. “I love to be on top..” She said as Joseph groaned as Demi's pussy enveloped his cock, and he grabbed her hips, guiding her up and down.
Demi started to ride Joseph slowly, enjoying the feeling of him inside of her. Joseph's hands roamed Demi's body, squeezing her breasts and pinching her nipples. This type of sex is what Demi craved, she needed to feel his dick inside of her, the way she could feel it ache for her, it gave her power. Demi moaned, urging Joseph to go deeper. “Fuck me..”
Joseph obliged, thrusting up into Demi harder and faster. Demi screamed as Joseph hit her G-spot, and she begged for more. “You just need a good fuckin’ huh?” He asked as he fucked her. “Yes daddy…” She moaned, her vision becoming hazy. “Tell me what you need baby..” He groaned as he thrusted more, “I just need some dick baby..” Demi said, fucked-drunk, full of lust. Joseph grabbed Demi's hips, pulling her down onto his cock as he thrust up into her. Demi’s body was reaching its climax as she felt the curve of his dick, it was driving her insane at the way he was giving it to her.
Demi's orgasm hit her again, and she screamed Daddy, once more as she came. Joseph followed shortly after, groaning as he filled Demi's pussy with his cum. Demi collapsed onto Joseph, panting and sweating. Joseph wrapped his arms around Demi, holding her close.
Meanwhile, Joshua sat stiffly on the plush couch in the dimly lit hotel suite, his fists clenched tightly on his thighs. His jaw was locked, and his chest rose and fell with barely controlled breaths. Across from him, Joe leaned casually against the wall, arms crossed, while Jonathan sat in a chair nearby, watching Joshua with quiet intensity.
The room was silent except for the muffled sounds filtering in from the adjoining suite. Demi’s voice, soft at first, grew clearer, her words laced with a mix of pleasure and submission. Each time Joshua heard her, his muscles tensed further. He focused on a spot on the floor, trying desperately to block out the sound, but it was impossible.
Then it happened. Demi’s voice, sweet and filled with need, called out, “Daddy!”
Joshua shot up from the couch, his face a mask of fury. His nostrils flared as he turned toward the door, ready to leave. He couldn’t endure this any longer.
But before he could take another step, Jonathan was on his feet, blocking his path. “Sit down,” Jonathan said firmly, his tone leaving no room for argument.
Joshua’s eyes burned with anger. “Move, Jon,” he growled, his voice low and dangerous.
Jonathan didn’t budge. “No,” he said, his voice calm but unyielding. “This is your punishment, Josh. You don’t get to run from it.”
Joe pushed off the wall, walking over with measured steps. “You think you can just walk out?” he said, his voice cold and sharp. “You lied to us. You went behind our backs and broke the rules. Now you’re going to sit here and listen.”
Joshua’s fists tightened at his sides, his whole body trembling with suppressed rage. He glared at Joe, but deep down, he knew he had no choice. The dynamic was clear, and he was at the bottom of the hierarchy right now.
Jonathan placed a heavy hand on Joshua’s shoulder and pushed him back down onto the couch. “You’ll stay,” Jonathan said, his voice dropping to a dangerous whisper. “And you’ll learn.”
Joshua sat, his breath coming in short, angry bursts. The sounds from the other room continued, each one cutting into him like a knife. His punishment wasn’t physical—it was psychological, a deliberate torment designed to remind him of his place. Jonathan and Joe watched him closely, ensuring he stayed put, his every movement a testament to his struggle. Joseph exited the room, a small smile on his face. Joshua watched as Jonathan then entered the room, he heard the door lock and Joshua felt his heart break.
As the minutes ticked by, Joshua sat motionless, unable to escape the onslaught of emotions that flooded through him. He could feel the tension in the room, the heaviness of the silence surrounding him, punctuated only by the faint sounds leaking from the next room. The muffled noises of Demi's increasing pleasure were like a constant, unwelcome reminder of everything he had failed to prevent. He clenched his fists tighter, his nails digging into the fabric of the couch as he tried to keep his emotions in check.
Every time Demi's voice rose in pleasure, his chest tightened. It wasn't just the jealousy— though that was there in full force-but also the realization that he was powerless in this moment. He had always believed in protecting her, in lifting her up, yet here he was, stuck in a room with nothing to do but listen as another man took what he had wanted for so long.
Her voice, sweet and broken with need, filled the room like a drug. The noises grew louder, more urgent, until it felt like the very walls of the suite were pulsing with the rhythm of her cries. Joshua swallowed, his throat dry, every breath coming with difficulty as he tried to keep his composure. He could hear Jonathan's low voice now, commanding, guiding, and then the sound of her responding, of her surrendering to whatever Jonathan had asked.
It was everything he feared, every insecurity and doubt about his place in her life confirmed by the intimacy unfolding just beyond the door. His stomach churned at the thought of her giving herself so completely to Jonathan. His mind raced with questions— Why was he so powerless to stop this? How had he let it get this far? Was this the price of his failure?
The sounds became more intense, punctuated by gasps and breaths, and Joshua could feel the burn of humiliation rising in his chest. His jaw tightened as the pleasure-filled noises from Demi became impossible to ignore, her voice echoing through the walls, a cruel reminder of his own inadequacy. The longer he sat there, the more it felt like the room itself was closing in on him. He could no longer focus on anything but the sounds, the weight of them, and the realization that he had no place here, no way to intervene.
A cold sweat began to form on his forehead, and his breath quickened. His heart pounded in his chest, and it felt like the room was suffocating him. The frustration of hearing what he couldn't have-the intimacy he craved but had been denied-was overwhelming. Every moan from Demi was like a stake in his heart, each one a reminder that he had been cast aside in favor of another.
Jonathan stepped out of the room, his gaze sharp and focused, the weight of the physical activity hanging heavily on him. He adjusted his clothes and that’s when Joshua could see the love mark on Jonathan’s neck.
Joe, now seated in his position with a glass of whiskey in hand, looked up immediately but spoke in a low voice. “How is she?” His tone was calm, but there was an edge to it, as if he already knew the answer.
Jonathan nodded, glancing toward the closed door behind him. “She’s passed out,” he replied, his voice steady, though it carried a hint of satisfaction. “She enjoyed every last minute of fucking.”
Joshua refused to meet anyone’s gaze. His eyes remained fixed on the floor, his anger simmering beneath the surface. His body was rigid, tense with frustration and a deep, simmering resentment he couldn’t quite shake.
Joe took a sip of his whiskey, savoring the burn as he assessed his family. “Joseph, Jonathan,” he said, his voice low but authoritative. “You both did great today. She responded well. I’m pleased.”
Joseph smiled faintly, his demeanor more relaxed than the others, knowing he had done exactly what was expected of him. But Joe’s approval was always a game of stakes, and Joseph understood this all too well.
Joe then turned his attention to Joshua, who was still sitting with his arms crossed, every muscle in his body seemingly wound tight with anger and frustration. Joe’s expression hardened, his gaze unwavering as he took a slow step toward him.
“You endured, Joshua,” Joe’s voice was cool, but there was no mistaking the threat beneath his words. “You’re now good to continue your dynamic, but don’t think for one second I won’t be watching.”
Joshua’s fist clenched involuntarily, but he didn’t look up. The silence between them stretched, the weight of Joe’s words hanging in the air.
“You think I don’t know what you’re really feeling?” Joe continued, his voice now just a little sharper, cutting through the stillness. “You don’t get to pull away when it gets too much. You either stay in the game or you leave. There’s no middle ground.”
Joshua swallowed hard, the taste of defeat bitter on his tongue. He wasn’t sure whether he hated Joe more for the words or the fact that, deep down, he knew Joe was right. He had been weak, but he wasn’t ready to admit it—not now, not here.
Joe turned on his heel, signaling the end of their conversation for now. “You’ll have time to think about it. But remember, I’m always watching.”
Jonathan and Joseph exchanged a glance but said nothing. The tension had shifted, now focused entirely on Joshua, who was left to wrestle with the storm inside his mind. He didn’t know what was worse—enduring the punishment or having to live with the consequences afterward.
As Joe’s words echoed in his mind, Joshua’s anger swirled in his chest, but for now, he kept it inside, knowing that any outward expression of defiance would only make things worse.
Joe’s footsteps echoed down the hallway as he left the room, leaving the rest of the men in silence. Jonathan gave Joshua one last glance before heading toward the bar to pour another drink. Joseph remained in the same position, his eyes focused on the quiet turmoil playing out in his older brother.
Joshua? He was still trapped, unsure of what the future held but knowing one thing for certain: whatever came next, he couldn’t escape it.
—
Demi lay peacefully in the vast king-size bed, her body finally surrendering to the exhaustion of the sex she experienced with Jon and Joseph. The room was quiet, the only sound the soft hum of the air conditioning. Her mind had drifted into a deep, much-needed sleep, the kind that only came after physical fatigue had taken its toll. But the stillness didn’t last long.
She felt the bed shift slightly, the weight of someone else’s presence beside her. Her eyes fluttered open, slow at first, adjusting to the dim light that filtered through the curtains. She turned her head, her gaze falling on Joshua as he carefully slid into the bed next to her.
“Josh?” Her voice was soft, almost a whisper, as if she feared disturbing the fragile peace of the moment.
Joshua didn’t respond at first, his gaze distant, his face unreadable. He looked down at her for a moment before gently pulling the covers back over them. He didn’t meet her eyes, not yet, but his presence was unmistakable.
“Are you okay?” Demi asked again, her voice thick with concern. She could sense something was off, but she didn’t want to press him too much, not after everything that had happened.
Joshua exhaled slowly, his muscles tight, his mind still swirling from everything he had just endured—everything he had been forced to witness. He wanted to say something, anything, to let her know he wasn’t angry with her. But the words were stuck in his throat.
“Just don’t get up from the bed, okay?” he said, his voice rough, like the weight of his own emotions was slowly eating away at him.
Demi nodded, not asking any further questions. She could feel the tension radiating off him, and though she didn’t fully understand the depth of it, she knew better than to push him. With a soft sigh, she let her eyes fall closed again, sinking back into the warmth of the blankets and the cocoon of sleep that had embraced her so tightly.
Her body ached, but she felt comfort in the simple presence of Joshua beside her. Despite everything, she knew she was safe here—for now, at least.
The room grew silent again, save for the rhythmic sound of their breathing. Joshua remained still, his arm wrapped loosely around her, offering the only comfort he could give without saying a word. His mind raced, his heart still pounding from the chaotic emotions and guilt that weighed him down.
But in this quiet moment, he allowed himself the briefest respite, the gentle rise and fall of her chest a reminder that she was still Demi… still human and not property.

Spin-Off Snippets from "A Mafia Au"
Inspiration / Original Post / Follow-up Post
Blake plastered a plastic smile on her face, and pushed a cheery attitude as she wave while Jaune left, with a blush Pyrrha, who was now wearing a matching Pumpkin Pete Hoodie, aside from the emblem on hers was neon pink. Once they were out of sight, she sighed, and started to make her way to the door.
She froze when a rather string hand clamped down on her shoulder. She cursed at herself for tossing away her weapon. While she was a skilled assassin, and very effective with unarmed-combat, she was considerable more effective with a blade. But she tenses her muscles anyway, and prepared to fight.
"So... you're my co-worker?" the slightly unhinged voice floated through the air to Blake's ears. "What's you name?"
"Blake. Blake Belladonna?" she replied while turning her head just enough to see with whom she was speaking. The sight of the deer faunus woman standing next to her, made Blake shiver. The young woman looked good. She appeared to be in decent shape, had a nice figure, a small set of antlers protruded up through her orange-brown hair, plus a warm smile... but it was the eyes. Her eyes looked cold, dead, soulless.
"Well, Blake my name is Deandra Thistle, but my friends call me Deery... you can call me Deery."
"Hi, Deery?"
"So I saw you serving those two customers there." Deery continued without giving Blake a chance to speak. "You did good work, but you need to become more professional, and you SHOULD be wearing your uniform."
"Uniform?" Blake let her eyes wander, and shivered. Deery she assumed was wearing the uniform. White flat sneakers, no socks. Orange-pink cargo shorts, which showed off her calves. She had nice calves, Blake thought for a second, before taking in the remainder of the uniform, which was a purple-blue tee shirt with the Pumpkin Pete logo on the left breast.
"Did they give you a uniform?"
"No?"
"Bastards!" Deery swore. "Okay I think we have some spares in the back, but it's just about closing so, once we cash out, we'll get you one. Sound good?"
"Cash out?"
"Yeah. Run end of day reports. Count the cash in the tills, balance the debit machine. Cash out." Deery eyed Blake with her cold soulless eyes. "Did NO ONE give you any training? Who hired you?"
"Bob?"
"Gods damn it Bob! As if I don't have enough on my plate, you send me people to train and on-board too! Son of a bitch!"
"Sorry?"
"Not your fault Blake." Deery patted Blake's shoulder. "We'll get you all set after end of day. Head to the counter. I'll lock up."
"Okay?" Blake was scared. Her a world class assassin. I hired killer was scared of a retail-wage-slave. It was the eyes. Definitely the eyes.
Cash out and end of day went smoothly, though Blake didn't understand half of what was being done. But after that hour of work, she found herself sitting in the staff room, as Deery handed her a uniform, before sitting down.
"So any questions?"
"Um... I don't think this will..."
"PLEASE DON'T!" Deery cried as she grabbed hold of Blake's hands with vice like strength, while tears fell from her now sorrow filled eyes. "PLEASE Don't leave! I'm here alone... all day... I... I... I need help!"
"It can't be..."
"This place is open from mall open to mall close! That's ten hours, not including opening and closing that I'm ALONE!!!" Deery started to bawl, using her ungodly strength to pull Blake from her seat, and into Deery's crushing embrace. "I need help! I can't even take bathroom breaks!"
Blake didn't know what to do. Of course she could kill Deery, and from the sound of it, doing that would probably put the poor girl out of her misery, but that wasn't how Blake conducted business. She prided herself on never having any colleterial damage on her jobs.
"Maybe I can try for one more day?" Blake whimpered out, as Deery was slowly starting to suffocate her.
"Really?" Deery sobbed out, releasing Blake from her deadly embrace. "Really?"
"Yes?" Blake replied, still trying to catch her breath and get the feeling back into her limbs.
"YES!" Deery cheered, jumping from her seat, and pulling Blake off her knees into another crushing hug. Blake was starting to feel like the antler's were fake, and Deery was in fact an Anaconda Faunus. Luckily this hug was not a tight or long.
"So nine... am?" Blake asked hesitantly.
"Wait." The soullessness returned to Deery's eyes. "What training did you have, and what is you schedule?"
"None, and I don't have one?"
"Damn it Bob!" Deery snorted, and then took a calming breath. "Did they tell you anything at head office?"
"No?"
"Okay. Put your stuff in a locker, the key will be taped on the inside of the door."
"Okay?"
"Then we are going to have a little staff slash team meeting at Junior's."
"We are?"
"Yep. We are."
(A/N - I never do much with B lake, so I figured why not. World Class assassin scared into working retail by a desperate and soul broken "co-worker"... what could go wrong? )

EPHEMERAL SMP (My writeup)
Hi, my IGN is Lunethh. I joined the server 20 minutes late, and wandered around until i found someone (Lulu175) who said there was a trial chamber near spawn. I decided to accompany them to the trial. On the way we ran into a Catbboymmilo, who had iron and gave us shields. Catboy also gave me a bone, and with it i was able to tame a single nearby Wolf. This wolf was to be named Archduke Franz Ferdinand. And if anything bad happened to him, i swore i would find a way to start a world war.
Before our journey to the trial chamber commenced, Lulu declared we must get a bed, because she would surely die and wanted to set her spawn. This was an excellent call from Lulu, who got the most deaths on the server with 42.
We wandered into a forest where we met DarubyPrincxx, who had gone mining and had iron for shears. They lent us shears so we could make a bed and head off to the Chamber.
And to the Trial Chamber we went. There was a little trouble getting to it due to the immense lag we had mining straight down. It took ten minutes to mine maybe 30 blocks down. But eventually we were in the Trial Chamber, with stone tools and no food.
And none of us were really experienced Trialers, I'd not actually played the latest version of the game at all, and Lulu only ever poked around Trial chambers in creative, but we managed. Managed to get the most deaths on the server.
Eventually we ran into someone else in the trials. Mothyboyo i think. And they had cleared a room and gotten a omen potion. (Or milo found the first omen bottle, not entirely clear, but regardless) The trials got harder. With the omen, but we did, eventually. With a lot of deaths, manage to get some ominous keys and start opening a vault. And on our second ominous vault, Milo dropped a heavy core.
This was the first of many maces we would acquire.
We all got to kill each other with the mace right away, getting the achievements in chat and we declared ourselves Mace Trio. I wanted to leave the trials right away to go start killing people at spawn with the mace, but Lulu and Milo insisted we get more maces. I said that us getting more maces was statistically unlikely.
However Milo said "LETS GO GAMBLING" and that's hard to argue with. So we cleared the next rooms, and eventually got another Mace. At that point i said, we should really go back to spawn now, but the response once more was LETS GO GAMBLING. And that's really hard to argue with.
We ended up leaving the trail chamber with not two, not three, but FIVE maces.
At one point i nearly had a diplomatic incident in chat, when i asked very politely, if i could abolish the monarchy that had been growing in strength while Mace Trio and I were below the ground.
The leader of the Monarchy, the Monarch themself, RGBmothman, promptly declared war on me Specifically. However, when i pointed out that i merely asked to abolish the monarchy, and didn't threaten it at all beyond asking. A ceasefire was declared, and i asked if we were about to kiss. They did not Reply to me about if we were in fact about to kiss. But I digress.
Eventually we did surface, maces in hand and ready to kill. But before i went on a killing spree, we gathered candles in the Trial Chamber that we wanted to bring to the Vigil. It wasn't enough candles to offset the combined deaths we all had in the trials. But it seemed like a nice thing to do.
We spent some time at spawn, and noticed The Emerald Throne, which had been there since i logged on. The throne was made of dirt. Not emerald, so with Trial Chamber loot, Lulu fixed this.
On the way to the Vigil, we witnessed a wafflehouse massacre, and I ended up getting murdered on the steps of the Wafflehouse. I believe it was either Engibot or Kafrisuru, who killed a lot of people. The only thing i recovered from my death was my Mace. Thankfully. I really don't know how that worked out, it had fallen into the river, and i guess they didn't spend too long looting my corpse. But i did have good stuff on me. like 1/2 diamond and 2 god apples.
Anyhow. With one more death, we made our way to the vigil to give them some candles. On our way there, we were stopped by the Monarchy's soldiers. They were looking for someone who stole something or something. idk, i was a little wary of them because they had previously declared war on me.
We didn't end up having any trouble with them, but that would not be our last encounter with the Monarchy (i don't like monarchs out of principle)
Heading back to spawn, we searched for the rumoured Sex House. When i had asked Willow what it was, i was told that it was a house at spawn with all the player beds. And someone just put a sign there. And i wanted to see it for myself.
With a bed of my own, and a hefty shaft in my hand, i found nothing at spawn. But i did see the monarch nearish. I figured a ruler would know of the comings and goings of the world, and asked if they knew of the Sex House.
They did not know where it was, but as we fell into discussion, i said "its not about finding a sex house, but building a sex home" and the monarch and I discovered the true meaning of Sexmas. As well as found out that we were in fact, about to kiss.
But we had to split ways with our insight shared, I had to start construction of a new Sex House. A house for all of us, a house for Sex.
Just off the coast of spawn, right where the stone beach turns to grass sat a small roof held up by fenceposts with a single wall. It wasn't much, but it was the start of the SexHouse that i know and (made) love.
Now that i had two of my primal needs satisfied, (Shelter & Companionship), i needed to sate my thirst for blood. I had a mace, and i had windcharges, i wanted murder almost as much as i wanted sexhouse.
Most of my time left on the server was spent trying to kill people. I think i killed a lot of people. I killed God even. I asked them if they wanted to be killed by my Mace. And they said yes, and switched to survival.
The rest of the time went peacefully and bloodily, at one point there was a dirt mansion massacre, where the dirt baron brought me and lulu to the highest point of the manor, and stood directly below it, with a small crowd of other people who wanted to be killed by the mace. It was a smashing time.
And best of all, nothing bad ever happened to my dog. Nothing bad has ever, or will ever happen to my dog.

Thanks for tagging me! :)
How many works do you have on AO3?
118
What's your total AO3 word count?
1,507,734
Your top 5 stories by kudos:
Gustave Daae's Daughter
Pilgrim Soul
The Nanny
A Love There Is No Cure For
The World's More Full of Weeping Than You Can Understand
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I eventually respond to comments because I love reading the comments and would like to talk with my readers but I am also very socially awkward and shy with not great time management skills, so there's often a delay :')
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
Eggs and Toast. It's the only phic of mine so far to take place *after* the canon Events of LND. Echo In This whisper was also pretty angsty
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
I feel like they (almost) all end up pretty happy tbh! Maybe Tread Softly was slightly happier than most
Do you write crossovers?
The closest thing to a crossover I'll probably write is Like a Wheel, Like a Wind, which is a PotO au set in the Stephen King multiverse. Other than that, I mostly do AU mashup versions as opposed to actual crossovers (ie Evita au where Christine *is* Evita, not an au where Evita and Christine both exist)
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
hmmmm :') fun fact: ffn does Not remove comments from fics, regardless of what the comment says :0 I received direct hate and even some personal accusations over my portrayal of an ace Erik, which was super interesting because the person in question then proceeded to continue to read and subscribe to my other stories lmao. I also got some bigoted comments over ace headcanons in more private settings as well, even from "allies". Someone got very flustered over the singular gay Erik I wrote once. Gustave Daae's Daughter got some upset comments because it was... a lil darker than what I normally write. Someone had an absolute fit over Christine's choices in Pilgrim Soul in a way that was slightly funny looking back at it ^^; That said, I've also received so many touching and wonderful comments that remind me why I write <3
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
this is a constant source of disagreement between me and my beta reader ahaha I would say "no" and she would. point to the many Scenes :''') I do have occasional explicit moments in my stories, but I don't consider it smut necessarily as the Scenes aren't the main focal point, and the explicitness of them is usually to (try to) convey something other than eroticism. If the thing I'm trying to convey (awkwardness, vulnerability, shame, desire, angst, being conflicted, etc) would be showcased well by an explicit moment, I'll include it to an extent. Otherwise, no
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I'm aware of, though I'm sure with all the AI scraping etc it's gone... somewhere
Have you ever had a fic translated?
Yes, several! I get why some don't like it, but I love seeing my stuff in other languages and as long as someone asks first and links back to me I think it's really cool!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Not exactly! But Rat au and Gremlin au were both originally made in close collaboration with/big inspiration from Ms_Myth, in fact she even wrote a rat au prequel! I've written a few things based off of prompts others have come up with, too, and those phics are typically gifted to the person on ao3
What's your all-time favourite ship?
Erik and Christine
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
I would like to think I will finish them all, one day :') I do have a few aus I've shelved for various reasons tho
What are your writing strengths?
Angst lol.
What are your writing weaknesses?
I misspell "Christine" twelve different ways and at this point I can't tell the difference ;-; Pacing can also be a struggle
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
LotR or Star Wars, but both are so expansive and I'm afraid if I get started in them I won't finish my poto wips... So maybe one day, idk. A ship I'd like to write is Erik/Carlotta lol
What's your favourite fic that you've written?
This is so hard to choose lol omg. I'm currently really enjoying my hotel au, which is only an unpublished wip at the moment except for this. But as far as finished/published stuff, I'm going to have go with Boulevard of Broken Dreams
Fanfiction Author Interview Game
Thank you @brendadaaedestler for the tag!
How many works do you have on AO3?
30 as it stands!
What's your total AO3 word count?
591,986
Your top 5 stories by kudos:
Sticky Notes and Serendipity // collab with @brendadaaedestler // Erik/Christine long-fic // 224 kudos
Say You'll Share With Me // oneshot collection, mostly Erik/Christine // 143 kudos
Our Little Home // oneshot // Erik/Christine // 139 kudos
Starting Fresh // twoshot // Erik/Christine // 99 kudos
my heart is home when my hand is in yours // oneshot collection, collab with @brendadaaedestler // mostly Erik/Christine // 83 kudos
Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I always do! I love seeing readers interacting with my fics and sharing what they enjoyed about them, and I always want to show my appreciation for those comments. The only reason I wouldn't is if I missed it somehow or if my frequent co-author has beaten me to the punch and replied already.
What's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?
It's probably Sleep So Long Awaited, which is a play on the end of LND where Erik dies instead of Christine. It's sad, it's got sad Gustave, a moment of peace between Erik and Raoul, and...well, Erik dies. It's not a happy story.
What's the fic you've written with the happiest ending?
I would definitely say Sticky Notes and Serendipity! The epilogue hasn't gone up yet, but it's super fluffy and sweet, and the entire fic just came to such a happy, wonderful ending. You'll see what I mean on Saturday 😉
Do you write crossovers?
I don't, no. I might write fics inspired by another piece of media, but I wouldn't think I would ever write a proper crossover.
Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Not direct hate? I once received some criticism that was DM'd to me that was definitely not asked for and unnecessary, so that sucked. It was really a big blow to me, and I considered taking down that fic after receiving that comment because it made me super insecure about the entire format of the fic. It came from a person who had been very supportive of my stories for a long time, which made it even worse. Thankfully, my best friend convinced me not to take the fic down, and my critic has now been exposed for not being a good person, so it all worked out in the end.
Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
I don't write it and I won't be writing it.
Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Yep, I have had my fics scraped and posted on other websites at least twice, either by bots or by another user.
Have you ever had a fic translated?
I have not! Someone offered to translate Like Father, Like Son, but my coauthor on that story was not keen on the idea. It's something I would have to consider because I think I would worry too much about my style and plans for the story being lost in translation and I wouldn't be able to really tell. I wouldn't totally write it off, though!
Have you ever co-written a fic before?
Ohhhh yes! Like Father, Like Son was my first collaboration, and I write probably about half of my fics these days with my best friend @brendadaaedestler. We have something in the works for NaNoWriMo as we speak!
What's your all-time favourite ship?
Definitely Erik/Christine, I love writing with them and reading about them so very much.
What's a WIP that you want to finish but don't think you ever will?
It's not one that I don't think I will ever finish, but I think it will be a while before No Need For Goodbyes ever gets finished. I would love to go back to it, but I've been away from that cast of characters for so long that it can be hard to slip back in. My coauthor also no longer has the time to work on it with me, and it is a very time-consuming project, so I'm not sure when I will get back to it.
What are your writing strengths?
I think that dialogue is definitely my strength. It comes very easily to me and it's something that I always enjoy getting to write.
What are your writing weaknesses?
Getting lost in the dialogue! Sometimes I get so caught up in what the characters are saying and the emotions that they're expressing that the writing can get dialogue-heavy. I always have to make a conscious effort to include scene descriptions, settings, and descriptions of the character's bodies and expressions.
What's a fandom/ship you haven't written for yet but want to?
This is an interesting question that I honestly don't think about a ton lol? I've always been pretty content writing Phantom fic and don't really have the inspiration to jump into other fandoms. Shipwise, I've only written sporadic Meg/Erik fic and only a long time ago, so that one could be fun to explore. There is angst there.
What's your favourite fic that you've written?
It was Like Father, Like Son for the longest time because it was my first Phantom of the Opera fic, my first long fic, I loved the characters, etc. I'm still super proud of that story, but I think Sticky Notes and Serendipity takes the cake. It's my first true multi-chapter fic since LFLS, and I can just see how much my style has changed, how much my writing has improved, and it makes me feel really good about myself. I am in love with the versions of the characters that we wrote, and getting to work so much with Erik's anxiety and making it feel so authentic was a crowning achievement for me. Also, seeing all of the love for the story that Chloe and I have written together makes me feel so amazing. Sticky Notes is my favourite for so many reasons.
Tagging: @starlitexpress @intothemertensverse @sloanedestler @ablatheringblatherskite @shinyfire-0 @paperandsong @jennyfair7 and anyone else who wants to play!

Fine, fine, here is a happy part two guys. Take it as an apology for the tears and pain I've caused.✨️

》VI
She knew that she had fucked up. There was no way to deny or refute it either. And your absence was further proof of that.
You were always there for her, even when things got bad and she became even worse. No matter how much she yelled or drank, you were there afterward to nurture her back to health. It was so unfair of her to expect it still, after all she had said to you. She hated herself. She hated how weak and pathetic she had become. How she can't even stand straight anymore from the alcohol and couldn't win a single game since she had lost you.
And instead of Caitlyn haunting her like she used to, it was only you now. But you were crying every time. Asking her why she hated you so much. Why she couldn't care for you the way you cared for her. Why you were always the second choice despite having been there since the start.
Why, why, why.
Gritting her teeth against the headache, she made her way through the dark, familiar lanes to your small home that you once shared together. She had to talk to you. She really, really had to. Even if it's far too late now after a week of silence in-between the two of you. She had taken the time to reflect and think about everything, especially about your relationship. And it made her realise that nothing in this world was losing you too.
Knocking on your door, she nervously waited as she heard your footsteps quickly approaching her from inside. You opened the door carefully, ironically just how she had taught you, before freezing at the sight of her. She gave you a weak smile, attempting to look calm and friendly, but it still scared you off. "Hey cupca-" You tried slamming the door into her face mid greeting, but her foot was faster to jam itself in the way.
"H-Hey! Wait, please hear me out!" "Fuck off, Vi. I'm not in the mood to hear more of your bullshit. Go back to Caitlyn since I know how badly you want that!" You never cursed, and every word you spoke made her flinch. She, for some reason, didn't expect you to be this mad. But it hurt, and she deserved it. Another thing she underestimated was, unfortunately, your strength since you somehow managed to push her away and shut the door again. "Come on! Please! I... I didn't mean what I said. I just... have been losing my shit ever since what happened. The guilt is killing me, and I know it's not an excuse! You're right, I have to stop this shit! You're right, I need to stop treating your love for granted!"
She didn't know if you were even listening to her anymore, but it didn't stop the tears that burned in her eyes. "I don't give a damn about Caitlyn like that! I never did! It always you for me. You... you cared for me when no one else ever wanted to, and I was such an idiot for not appreciating it more." Her hand slammed against the wood in defeat, her head coming to rest against it as her body trembled. She was so scared of losing you. This can't be the end. "Please. Please just give me another chance to prove myself. I know I'm a fuck up but I swear I'll do better now."
Vi nearly fell right through your house entrance when you opened the door wide with a teary huff. "God, you're such an idiot... get in already before the neighbors complain." You didn't let her reply as you simply dragged her inside and locked the door again. The pitfighter watched you do so with a gentle gaze, one that felt so familiar to you. "... Fine, I'll give you another chance... but no drinking or fighting anymore. Please." You whisper to her, and she nods quickly before engulfing you in a warm hug.
She knows that she isn't fully forgiven yet, but she'll do everything in her power to prove herself worthy of your love again.
》CAITLYN
"You're still up." Caitlyn's voice was calm and gentle now, so different from the stern and cold tone it had before. You ignored her, however, knowing better than to fall for this again. She always got like this when she knew she had screwed up and was trying to crawl back into your good graces. But this time around, you didn't allow it that easily. You refused to speak to her if she hadn't come back to apologize. And yet... you couldn't help but allow yourself at least one sharp dig at her. "And you're late to bed once again. But I suppose Officer Nolan's 'report' was just that interesting, no?" You were perhaps the only person in all auf Pultover that could ever accuse her of something so scandalous as adultery and get away with it.
It certainly would have been amusing if Caitlyn didn't feel so sick at the thought of you believing that.
Sighing, she placed her hat onto a clothing hanger, her jacket following suit. You were facing away from her on the bed, trying to read a book and rest, despite the pain in your heart. It was hard being angry at her when you loved her so deeply. But her insults had struck much deeper than that.
The bed dipped behind you, and soon enough, you felt her strong arms surrounding your body and her nose tickling your cheek. "I'm sorry, my love. I really am. I... have lost my cool, and that was wrong of me." You scoffed at her words, finding them too shallow for the pain she had caused earlier. Yet you struggled to get out of her strong grasp on you. It felt desperate. And you hated the warmth and security that it made you feel. "If that is all you have to say, then you can leave." You hissed out weakly but couldn't find any malice in it. Just heartbreak, that solidified in more tears burning in your eyes. "Because how... how could you ever say that I could betray you? Do you know how that makes me feel? Do you care?"
Caitlyn hummed against the nape of your neck soothingly, a way to acknowledge the plight she had caused you without revealing her own tears. The grief had made her into a monster. A monster that hurt its friends, family, and most importantly, you. It was unforgivable, and yet she wanted to prove herself worthy of you anyway. She wanted to show you that she hadn't changed deep down like everyone claimed. She was still yours.
"... I will find a way to end this war and resolve it peacefully as soon as I can. I swear it to you." She began, her voice low and gentle, as she listened to the sound of your hiccups and sniffling. This wasn't what she wanted. "And I apologize, truly, for what I called you... I know that you are loyal and trustworthy. Much more than I ever could be... I'm still your Caitlyn." The last part was whispered quietly, as she tried everyone in her power to not break down in front of you like this.
She hated what she had become deep down. She knew it was wrong and that her mother must've been turning in her grave at the sight of what she had done. But what she couldn't handle at all was you hating and leaving her.
There was a moment of silence before you turned to face her and immideatly hugged her impossibly close as you cried into her arms. She rubbed your back lovingly, understanding that this was your way of accepting her apology. But forgiveness will still be a long journey she was willing to take.
For now, she'd rest in your embrace thankfully.
》JINX
Deep down, you knew that she didn't mean what she said. She never would do anything to hurt you. Silco's death was just killing her more than anyone could have expected, and it was hard for everyone to deal with. But you just couldn't take the pain and hurt she caused you anymore. You've been there since day one. You were always at her side. You always took care of her when no one else wanted to. And you understood her better than she did herself. But it was ultimately just not enough. Or so you thought.
The young girl that was now dragging you through the lanes reminded you of her too. She didn't speak a word to you, and for some reason, you didn't have it in you to protest against her odd actions either. She somehow seemed to recognize you the second you bumped into her. And that was enough for her to take your hand and lead you to a very familiar hideout. Perhaps it was fate that brought you here again when you needed Jinx the most.
"Hey kid, who's our little guest-?" The rest of the young woman's words died on her tongue, and it left you simply staring at each other. There was a familiar haze in her eyes, one that you often saw when the voices were taking over. She once mentioned that you sometimes became a part of her hallucinations during longer absences, and that reminder alone made your heart ache. You shouldn't have run away that day. But what other choice did you have? She didn't trust you anymore. She didn't think you should be together anymore. Why were you even here?
"S-sorry... I'm just going to leave..." You muttered as your ears rung and that familiar burning in your eyes made your sight blurry. You felt suffocated and somehow also angry, wishing she could just see how much you loved and cared for her. But just as you were turning away to run again, her strong hand was quicker and held you back by your arm. "Wait. Let's just... talk, alright? Like we always do?" That was your thing. Whenever things got bad, you'd sit down and talk calmly to her about it. She used to scoff at it every time... yet she was the one who suggested now for once. Something about it shook you so hard that it made the first tears finally spill at the recognition she had given you for all the work you've put into her.
Jinx panicked a little at that, unsure of how to comfort you, yet at Isha's stern frown and cross of her small arms, she just hugged you for the first time in a while. And god, did she miss it.
Perhaps it was good to show the little girl a picture of you after all.
"I'm sorry. I'm really sorry, I swear, sweetie! I... I won't ever say stuff like that again. Just don't leave me. Please don't leave me. I just, I was just-" You hushed her by just hugging her tighter and shaking your head. "It's okay... just hold me for a while. We can talk later... I missed you so much." You whispered, voice breaking into sobs. Jinx hummed weakly and sighed against your hair, the familiar scent making her relax and feel better at last.
Isha grinned to herself behind you before quickly sneaking off to let you talk things out.
》EKKO
To say that the entire firelight hideout was pissed at him would be an understatement. Absolutely everyone disagreed with the way he treated you, and the side eyes he got very much confirmed this. But the worst part of it all was definitely you avoiding him like the plague.
Every time he entered a room, you were the first one to leave in a hurry. Every time he tried speaking to you, you either ignored him or found an excuse to get away. Every time someone even mentioned his name to you, your mood seemed to dampen. And that hurt so much that it killed him. This isn't how he wanted you to feel about him. He was your boyfriend, damnit it. Yet he acknowledged that he was failing at his job way more than he should've allowed himself to. He had to fix this somehow.
Ekko couldn't just lose you over his own foolishness. You were the one person who motivated him to keep going even on his worst days. You were the light he fought for. The person he battled to come home to every day. He couldn't handle your absence any longer, especially at night when he laid wide awake in your empty bed without you.
And so, he finally had enough and cornered you one night up in the tree during a patrol you had together. One, he definitely didn't pull the strings for to happen. And ever the one to abide by his orders despite your current dismay, you were now avoiding his gaze whilst you watched your sleeping home below. It was peaceful and calm, but the pain lingered between you two too much to enjoy the moment. He didn't know how to break the deafening silence, and it made him think of backing out on his initial plan... until you surprised him by speaking up first.
"I'm... sorry for avoiding you. I didn't mean for this to become your last resort. I just... didn't want to be a burden anymore." "Wait, wait, wait... who said that you were a burden, I... I should be the one apologizing right now. Because I was wrong about every fucking thing I said to you." The words spilled out in panic at the mere thought of you blaming yourself. He never wanted you to feel like this. It made him feel even worse about himself. This wasn't right. "You're not useless. You do so much for us, for me, and I take it all for granted like the asshole I am! And I fully acknowledge that now... I shouldn't have snapped at you like that. There is no excuse for it." He shook his head in disappointment at himself, wondering if this was it now. He'd understand if you broke up with him now... but instead, you seemed to be in the mood to surprise him alot today.
"Did you... like the food I made you?" He blinked at your question in confusion, yet answered honestly. "Best thing I had all week." "Then I guess I'll forgive you... just don't do that again." Ekko chuckled weakly at your words, relief filling his senses whilst he pulled you close to press a kiss to your head. "Would never dream of it... wanna ditch patrol and fly around town?" You mirrored his sly smile, glad he had the same thing on his mind as you did. "Sure thing. But let's make it a race."
He let you win.
》SEVIKA
She took some time to cool off after your argument and returned later into the night with a clearer mind. Sevika had actually reflected on what you had said to her, and she knew you were ultimately right. She was extremely overprotective and stubborn, two things that didn't mesh well and often ended in her thinking you couldn't take care of yourself. Even if she knew better than to actually believe that.
You were strong, especially mentally. It's what drew her into you to begin with. But with the fall of Silco and a war being on the verge of breaking out against Piltover, she had no choice but to make sure that you never left her sight. And if you did, then you had to be somewhere she knew was safe and away from all the chaos she dealt with daily. It helped her focus and stay calm to know that you're okay. Yet despite how much she cared, she still fucked it all up for herself again.
And now she had to fix it, something she was never good at.
She felt awfully guilty at the sight of the things you've lovingly prepared for her, now laying forgotten and cold on the kitchen counter. She truly didn't deserve someone as kind as you. And yet she considered herself too selfish to let you go.
Slowly approaching the bedroom door, she paused to hear if you were awake or not. Unfortunately, you were, but she only knew this from the faintest sound of your sniffling and sobbing that drifted through the wooden door. Sighing to herself, she knocked once, deciding to just rake things slow and as calmly as possible. You had sustained an injury after all, and her mind was reeling at the thought of it getting worse without any proper care. "What do you want?!" Your weak voice yelled at her, and it made her frown. Yeah, you were definitely beyond pissed.
"I want to talk." Her gruff voice said, and it may have sounded like a demand if the underlying care and worry didn't overshadow it so clearly. Your silence made her initially think you were ignoring her until the door slowly opened and revealed your disheveled form. "... well, go ahead." You muttered, one hand cradling the side of your hip that was clumsily bandaged up by you. You were never good at stuff like that.
"Let me take care of the wound whilst we're at it. Can't have ya dying on me because of an infection." She sighed out before simply dragging you to your shared bed and pulling out your medkit. You didn't protest or complain and let her do as she pleased, whilst you carefully listened to her speak with an unreadable expression.
"Listen. I... get it. I really do. The way I treat you isn't right, and I know you're grown enough to take care of yourself, but... I can't risk losing you too now. It drives me crazy to think about. Even if that ain't much of an excuse, and I get that too." She was never this honest before. Usually, she simply deflected or blamed someone else. But here she was, for once admitting openly to being the problem. "Just... be more careful out there. That's all I ask of you. I won't comment on it otherwise anymore though, unless you're in serious danger. I promise." Finishing the last of her bandaging, she hummed at it now looking much securer. This way, you are sure to recover much faster.
Taking a deep breath, you nodded your head at her words, deciding to give her another chance to prove herself. You understood where she was coming from after all. "Okay, fine. I'll accept your apology... if you help me cook." She grinned at that slightly with a casual shrug. "Fine by me, if I get a taste of your heavenly cooking, sweetheart."

summary: oh, poor drew has to lose his big biceps while filming queer. and oh, poor drew, is victim of his girlfriend's teasing :(
warnings: none, pretty light and fluffy 👌
⋆౨ৎ˚⟡˖ ࣪
You’re lounging on the couch, scrolling idly through your phone, when the sound of a key turning in the lock catches your attention. Glancing up, you see Drew walk through the door, looking a bit slimmer but still smiling in that warm way that lights up his whole face. He came home only for a few days, and you still couldn't get over the fact that they didn't gave you a small copy of your boyfriend, it was actually Drew. Even if you were there in his whole process of weight losing, it felt weird.
You missed those pretty big things so much it was painful.
He’s wearing a loose T-shirt and faded jeans, his hair tousled from a long day on set, and something about him seems softer around the edges—almost like he’s let his guard down after weeks of intense filming.
You sit up, an exaggerated frown on your face. “Oh, no way.” Your tone is teasing, but you can’t resist it as you give him a once-over. “What happened to those big, strong biceps of yours, Starkey? Am I seeing things, or did you trade them in for some noodles?”
Drew raises an eyebrow, pausing mid-step as he gives you a look of mock offense. “Noodles? Seriously?”
You grin and shrug, crossing your arms. “I don’t know, babe. They’re looking a little… deflated.” You stretch out an arm, giving his bicep a playful poke as he comes closer. “Am I supposed to start lifting the groceries now?”
Drew lets out a chuckle and drops his bag on the floor before plopping down on the couch next to you. “I’ll have you know that my ‘noodle arms’ still work just fine,” he says, feigning indignation as he flexes, the bicep muscle tightening under his sleeve even if it’s smaller than you’re used to. “Had to lose some weight for Queer, remember? Luca didn’t want me looking like some action hero on this.”
You put on a look of exaggerated sympathy, patting his shoulder. “Aww, poor noodle-armed Drew. Must be so hard, not being the Hulk for once.”
He scoffs, but you can see the grin tugging at the corners of his mouth. “You’re really not gonna let this go, are you?”
“Oh, no way,” you tease, leaning in and poking his arm again. “If you lose even one more ounce of muscle, I’m buying out the protein aisle and bringing it to set.” You pretend to squeeze his arm, making a show of struggling as if it’s the weakest thing in the world. “Seriously, who’s gonna protect me now? Or open all the jars?”
Drew smirks, eyes twinkling with amusement. “Is that right?” he murmurs, leaning closer, his tone a playful challenge.
In one quick motion, he wraps an arm around your waist and effortlessly pulls you onto his lap, his fingers tightening around your hips as you let out a small squeal of surprise, laughing. “See? Noodles or not, I think I can still handle you just fine,” he says, a smug grin on his face as he holds you close.
You try to keep a straight face but can’t help the smile that’s tugging at your lips. “Hmm,” you say, tilting your head as if contemplating. “Maybe you’ve still got a little strength left in you. But I’m gonna keep a close watch. Just in case.”
Drew raises an eyebrow, feigning exasperation. “Oh, great. A personal bicep inspector. Exactly what I needed.”
You laugh, brushing a stray lock of hair from his face. “Someone has to make sure you stay up to code, Starkey. You’re still my big, strong boyfriend, right? Don’t want anyone thinking I’m dating some scrawny little noodle boy.”
He lets out a laugh, his arm still firmly around you as his hand traces slow, comforting circles along your back. “Would it make you feel better if I promised to go back to the gym as soon as filming’s done? Maybe even lift double just to prove I’m still ‘your big, strong boyfriend’?”
“Maybe,” you say, narrowing your eyes with a smile. “But in the meantime, don’t be surprised if I start calling you ‘spaghetti arms.’”
Drew groans, dramatically rolling his eyes, but he’s laughing too, unable to keep a straight face. “Fine, fine, make fun of me all you want. Just remember who’s still carrying you around all day if he has to.” With that, he shifts his grip and effortlessly hoists you up, standing and cradling you against his chest as he walks toward the kitchen.
You burst out laughing, arms looping around his neck. “Oh, okay, maybe there’s still a little muscle left!” you say, gasping between giggles as he gently sets you down on the counter, his hands resting on either side of you.
“Exactly,” he says, leaning in close, his face just inches from yours, his voice softer now, teasing but affectionate. “No matter what, you’re still stuck with me.”
Your laughter fades as you look up at him, a warm smile spreading across your face. “Good,” you whisper, fingers gently brushing his cheek. “Because I wouldn’t want anyone else, noodle arms and all.”
Drew’s expression softens, his gaze lingering on yours as he cups your face, leaning in to press a tender kiss to your lips. His hand trails down to your shoulder, pulling you closer until you’re wrapped up in his embrace, your laughter replaced by a comfortable, warm silence.
As he pulls back, his forehead resting against yours, he chuckles, fingers idly tracing your arm. “I’ll get my biceps back,” he promises, his voice barely a whisper. “But for now, I guess you’ll just have to deal with ‘scrawny’ me.”
You grin, sliding your hands up his chest. “I’ll manage,” you say softly. “But just know I’m keeping an eye on those biceps. And maybe—just maybe—I’ll even give you a few compliments along the way.”
Drew laughs, kissing you again, and for a moment, it’s just the two of you, wrapped up in each other’s warmth, with no need for words. Because no matter how many muscles he has—or doesn’t—you know there’s nowhere else you’d rather be than right here, with him.

thinking about arguing with husband!gojo. it’s funny because he’s the strongest sorcerer alive with several other, more wicked enemies harboring one sided hate for him, yet he’s anxiously glancing at you every now and then as you hiss at him. you’re the only one who can make him doubt his strength.
he usually finds you cute when you’re mad, but right now he doesn’t really appreciate the way your face is scrunched up and how you’re yelling at him.
it’s not his fault. he thinks you’re being so dramatic.
“you’re laughing at me,” you deadpan. “why do you never take things i say seriously?”
“because i honestly don’t think it’s that serious,” he fires back, and your eyes narrow. oh, fuck.
arguing with your husband is never fun. it’s probably because the both of you are stubborn; you’re stubborn because you’re simply right all the time, and satoru’s stubborn because if you’re not right, then he is.
you pause for just a second, but it’s enough to sprout a moment of extreme tension between you and your husband.
“right,” you scoff after you inhale sharply. “you just don’t care, do you?”
“don’t fucking say that,” satoru snaps. “i do care. that’s why i’m here.”
it takes everything in you to not shoot him another death glare. “so i should be thankful for the bare minimum?”
satoru blinks. he would’ve flinched, but he refuses to let you have that sort of power over him. “i’m not giving the bare minimum.”
“yes you are,” you argue back, voice straining as you swallow a lump of anger down the back of your throat.
the both of you are still. it feels like an eternity passes before the anger in you wanes. you’re exhausted and this fight with satoru is surely going to make the both of you upset enough to not talk for the rest of the night.
“i’m sorry that i’m not good enough,” satoru says, breaking the silence. you’ve never heard his voice so small, so pathetic—he’s never, ever shown you this side of him, and you’re starting to feel that dreading pit of guilt tug at your gut.
“that’s not what i meant,” you force yourself to say, sighing.
“but that’s what you’re thinking,” satoru mumbles. he avoids looking at your face.
“no it’s not,” you deny. “it’s never been about that.”
satoru gives you a wary look. “then what is it about? because i’ve done everything i can.”
“everything? really?” you sneer. “do you even love me anymore?”
silence. satoru swears he can hear your heart break.
“baby, don’t say that,” he groans, “c’mon, we were ten points away from three stars. that’s a single plate—one you didn’t turn in because you somehow forgot how to dash!”
you whip around to glower at satoru, your face twisting into an offended expression. “you set the kitchen on fire! how could i do something like serving a dish if the kitchen is on fire?!”
“baby, it’s the same button that it always has been this entire game!” he whines. “and you set the kitchen on fire! you keep forgetting to take the rice off the stove!”
you sigh exasperatedly, crossing your arms to act like some sort of shield between you and satoru’s (truthful) words.
“but you don’t chop up your stupid fish!” you protest. “so i end up doing five things at once!”
satoru opens his mouth to speak, but he knows you’re in the right. he opts to click his tongue instead.
“and every time i asked for help,” you add, frowning, “you just kept bringing out more of the dumbass cucumbers! we don’t have counter space for that!!!”
“that’s for prep to maximize our sushi making! throw it on the floor!”
“are you kidding me? that’s so unsanitary!”
“it’s a game!”
you’re both panting by the end of the fight. you’re biting down on your inner cheek and satoru is scratching the nape of his neck awkwardly.
“… sorry,” he mumbles. “i won’t bring out cucumbers anymore. and i’m also sorry for being mean about you not knowing how to dash.”
“good,” you huff. “‘cause i was seriously not gonna play anymore.”
“and…?” he prods, nudging you in your ribs. you can tell what he wants just by the sound of his voice.
“and i’m sorry for getting mad at you even though you’re doing you’re best at carrying me in this game…” you murmur, rolling your eyes.
satoru’s face brightens and he places a wet kiss on your cheek. “you’re forgiven.”
“love you, dummy.”
“love you too, baby.”
“no more cucumbers unless the ticket calls for them,” you remind him pointedly.
“yes, chef!”
